I arrived at the river at about 4:30am this morning and it was still very dark. What an excellent opportunity to try out a very long exposure. The fog was very thick, but still beautiful to see and I was pleased with the result.

Morning has broken like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them, springing fresh from the Word!

This Morning from the mountains of North Carolina, participating in an outing with CNPA, Northwestern Chapter on Rough Ridge. Beautiful light as the sun rose and a mass of clouds moved across the summit of Grandfather Mountain. Strong, gusty winds keep everyone on their toes, at times it seemed just to stand, hang onto their equipment, and make their images, while keeping their eyes to the front and rear watching the ever evolving light and moving clouds. Hope everyone has a great weekend...

Early morning fog rolling along the Petitcodiac river, Moncton, New Brunswick. The sky was a pastel blue and the water crystal clear with fog passing through highlighted by the dawn sun. Very tranquil that morning.
Taken with Canon 6D and Sigma 150-600mm OS HSM Contemporary lens.
I was a little late getting out this morning and did get caught up with a few dogwalkers & joggers here.
Though its a good feeling when a planned shot falls into place.

The sun trying to break through the morning mist .... Lose Hill, December 2017, Peak District , Derbyshire, UK
Just after sunrise at 6:13 a.m. on April 21, 2017, a Copper Basin Railway employee goes about the morning rituals of inspecting and starting some CBRY power for the Smelter Turn.
In October, the autumn season,
Odashirogahara is on a sunny day after the rain
Morning mist often occurs.
This morning, the morning mist is beautiful and the scenery is beautiful.
It was transformed fantastically.
The sun was lighting up the peaks of the Bridger Mountains this weekend. The weather isn't quite as pretty today...

I love getting out to shoot after a long nights rain, as the air is so clear and the morning light is reflected so nicely. While this looks like a meandering river, it's actually a portion of Idaho's Lake Cascade at end of year. As you can see below it looks quite different in the spring.
Migrating birds love this area. The small ripples are caused by small ducks. They were everywhere.
The week is half over. Hope it's going well for you.

Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.

19240 Shrouds of the Somme, an installation by Somerset artist Rob Heard is displayed in front of the Cathedral on College Green in Bristol on Armistice Day 2016. Each shroud represents a life lost on the first day of the Battle of the Somme (1st July 1916).
As the sun came up on this installation, it highlighted the dew on the shrouds, well, it was a moving experience is all I can say.
