The softness of a heavy fog drapes the landscape in a wet dewy mist. Just off the Cumberland River an inlet flows South through a grove of trees only to re-enter the river just below where it started.
I used the Orton Effect to soften the edges

Trying out the SA control on my RF100mm Macro. This lens has an SA (Spherical Aberration) control that changes the bokeh and the apparent sharpness of the image by adding a diffused soft-focus look as you change the control ring from -4, 0, +4 This is @ +4.
The OOF bubbles are actually water from a solar fountain in the foreground. + settings change the FG bokeh, and - settings change the BG bokeh. Either way softens the actual focus point
For me, I would take two shots if conditions allow, one with and one without SA, then in PS mask-out the SA subject to bring the non-SA subject into clear focus, leaving the background or foreground with the SA effect.
My 2 cents

Today morning I had the opportunity (I wasn't in a hurry) to walk in Győr (HU) and take some photos. This time I focused on the buildings.

The view of the sky and rock formations to the south of the Sugar Loaf Loop trail about half hour after sunrise.
A 3 shot landscape format panoramic to take in the lovely morning light around Sawley on Sunday morning. The middle of the river Trent is the boundary between Derbyshire and Leicestershire, so I was probably between the two when taking this and I didn't get my feet wet.
This young pine tree really stood out in the morning light during the recent snow event. Taken in our back yard.
Amtrak 172 was passing through MARC's Middle River Martins Airport stop in morning light.
Led by just another ACS-64, the train was looking relatively decent by Amtrak standards.
The morning frost melted and left droplets on the aspen leaves. Seen along Camp Bird Mine road near Ouray, CO.
The morning light in Cade's Cove was incredible. Most of the fog had burned off at this point, but the light more than made up for it.
Early morning around an hour after sunsrise on December 23rd 2019 the acqua alta (high tides) at 155cm covers most of Venice.

I have been posting images of this series in chronological order. This one was only taken ten minutes after yesterday's shot, but the light and colour has changed quite a bit, especially in the sky. Taken with the sun that was now barely below the horizon behind me.
This one could very well be my favourite of the series. There were approximately three inch wide tire tracks on much of the Bike Track. Not sure what make them, but I would be surprised if was a pedal bike. Anyways, the tracks in the snow made interesting lines that I liked. I took a number of shots of them from various viewpoints but liked this shot the best.
First touch of morning light falling on the Garhwal Himalayan range. Seen from Roopkund in Uttarakhand, India
Morning Aloha. A peaceful sunrise with palm trees, calm sea and the west Maui mountains in the distance. From Sugar beach, Kihei, on the island of Maui, Hawaii
I was up earlier than usual this morning and it was so beautiful out, the last two days were cloudy and rainy and this morning the sun broke and the sunbeams were so beautiful between the branches of the trees up at the end of the driveway
