Peyto Lake, Banff, is such an incredible place to visit. It makes you feel small as you look out over the majestic landscape.
Moody weather last Sunday. From left: Rigi Hochflue, Rigi Scheidegg, and Rigi Kulm. Cropped, no other editing.
I was out trying to shoot the sunball between the tips of the church's towers. Due to heavy clouds this shot nearly failed. Just in time a tiny gap in the clouds opened. However, I failed anyways. I forgot we have a leap year.
A beautiful lake in the Glacier National Park in Montan. The scene was very moody and beautiful to capture after a short hike
Let's hope for this siskin and the rest of us, that these white flakey things are living on borrowed time.

Overcast and moody sunrise from Putty Beach Headland in the Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia.
The day I took this picture, I wanted to try to get some shots of the crescent moon rising near Balboa Park's iconic Museum of Us (formerly the Museum of Man). Some clouds blocked the view of the moon, but offered some impressive lighting. No complaints here!
I shot this waterfall near Eidi at Faroer on my recent trip. Love the moody wheather conditions albeit we had drizzling rain all the time at this spot.
This is a focus stack of 4 frames.

Thanks to Carol, Ashley & Thelma for identifying this plumbago:)
Sharply pointed mountan tops piercing through the clouds. Only a few small trees manage to grow on the mountain's ridge.

Minimalist, moody view from Old mountain in Serbia towards Bulgarian mountains and Kom peak capped with snow
Although I went back to shoot this scene at sunset (for a colour image) the heavier cloud earlier in the afternoon made for a nice B&W - check out the video to see more - youtu.be/a1WTTbjdkC8
El Negret, a rugged rocky hill (the site of the Poblado de la Edad del Bronce de El Negret) with concrete posts (probably used in the past to support fruit trees or grape vines). Shot from the Via Verde de Agost in Spain on a winters afternoon
Windswept beach capturing the tip of a windsurfer as it and its owner emerge from the sea. Moody only because I just missed a parasail border leaping high, arcing into the air off of the waves. The wind was howling (see the streams of sand a the top)
I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild; when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark and moody. And in all its moods, I see myself.
Like MPFC once said;
~ And now for something completely different:
The first of a new project in B&W
I hope you like it too
Something about herons that always appears moody. This one had a spat with another heron just after this.
Apologies to everyone that I have been/still am poor at commenting. I have had someone with a major illness in the house over the past 7 months. Although everything is now going very well I am nursing that family member post very major surgery, as well as trying to cope with my own back injury. Sometime (I hope fairly shortly) life will return to some sense of normality.
