Sunset from Ashland CTA station on April 16th, 2019.

Moody Street in Waltham is a historic and happening street over Charles River.

Moody Park was named after Richard Moody, the first Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of British Columbia, though with the fog it suits the more obvious meaning to its name.

I visited this tree many times before. Its just outside a village called Bellerby where my parents have a cottage.

Explored #365 31.10.10.

Trip to Snowdon in Wales the other week, moody & overcast. Was a bit wet & slippery towards the summit, especially clambering over rocks. Unfortunately no view from the top due to low cloud covering the summit, but more than made up for by the route up & down with its streams, derelict slate huts and cloud capped vistas.

Overcast and moody sunrise from Putty Beach Headland in the Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia.

Another snap from a recent trip to Scotland. Looking North across upper Loch Torridon towards Beinn Alligin and Liathach

We had a couple of brighter days, but this was typical of the weather that week. (Typical of Scotland at any time some might say but from experience I know that is not true!!) A bit dull and misty at times, but this creates an atmosphere. If I want to shoot photos with mood then I would take these conditions over cloudless blue skies any time! :-)

Marianne was out on a blustery evening with distant snow showers while the girls and I watched from the living room of our rental accommodation.

Colour and tone adjustments as usual, were done using techniques outlined in the video links below;

Fog has been persistent in the the Valley for past few days. You've got to take advantage of it. :)

A "moody" shot from a nearby field with some old oak trees.

This is a slightly different edit of the same brownstones photo I posted last week. Its not actually a new edit - I made them both at the same time, but decided to give everyone a break from these buildings instead of posting them back to back. This one is darker and moodier, but still colorful.

Shot with the kit lens on Sony a6000.

This was the last one home' average kind of shot but thought i'd post as I don't shoot much aviation at the moment.

From my bedroom window - not colour edited at all just sharpened and a tiny bit of burn on the lower half.

Toccoa Falls has an impressive 186 foot vertical drop

Ushet point, Rathlin Island. dark moody black and white. On another grey day, maybe some time soon, will see more than a blanket of clouds...

Ha Long Bay on a sombre day. Photo merge from 2 exposure shots

Before the development of clearly defined ports, mariners were guided by fires built on hilltops. Since raising the fire would improve the visibility, placing the fire on a platform became a practice that led to the development of the lighthouse. In antiquity, the lighthouse functioned more as an entrance marker to ports than as a warning signal for reefs and promontories, unlike many modern lighthouses. The most famous lighthouse structure from antiquity was the Pharos of Alexandria, Egypt, which collapsed following a series of earthquakes between 956 and 1323.
