The approaching rain clouds added some atmosphere so quite happy how this turned out in the end.
Wildlife Management Area - Iowa
It was a dark moody day hiking the wilderness area on the north side of the park. The Canadian Geese are getting very noisy for nesting territorial rights. Once I showed up, they all left the marsh.
It was a cloudy day with little wind and quite pleasant. Once I left the marsh area, I could hear them back fighting again for nesting rights!

Another snap from a recent trip to Scotland. Looking North across upper Loch Torridon towards Beinn Alligin and Liathach
We had a couple of brighter days, but this was typical of the weather that week. (Typical of Scotland at any time some might say but from experience I know that is not true!!) A bit dull and misty at times, but this creates an atmosphere. If I want to shoot photos with mood then I would take these conditions over cloudless blue skies any time! :-)

Moody, tumultuous skies over Lake Erie as a strong front moves through on a warm, summer evening. Photo taken at Lakeview Beach in Lorain.
