Filmor box camera, unmodified

the Octagon in Dresden probably is _the_ very place if you want to see projects done by young artists and former students of Dresden Academy of Arts, and, besides actually housing amazing projects, the building itself is worth a visit... and, guess overally I'm sort of caught by that "widescreen" thingy. again, just color modification (including the border, of course).

Well, that pretty well describes it. Functional and cheap to make. Light weight and probably little to no maintenance for the parts.

To prevent the rather 'touchy' receiver catch from springing the receiver top open at unexpected moments, we developed this rather nifty field modification...

Roland TR808 Recovered from oblivion restorated from oxide MIDI-fixation and deeper modification. Now it can be sequenced by any midi sequencer/synth. All parts has been hardly cleaned to remove all that dust and oxide who were inside. The TR808 has almost over 25 years old so needed a lot of work inside it.

A pair of new side panels has been done by myself on wood to close the unit, getting away the old plastic side panels that were taking so much space. Now the Roland TR808 is finished with an standard rack width to rack it if needed. A new painting has been aplied on the frontpanel surface, side panels and front side, to prevent the corrosion. I have replaced too the old round phillips screws to a flat allen galvanized screws, so they will never be re-oxidize again. The old power plug has been changed too to a new smallest one. Hope you like the work !!

I love my 808.

The central panels are from an even older painting - I think from Wolsey's time.

I removed the distrating tree away, with the use of Cloning Stamp in Photoshop. Gosh! I thought that wouldnt be hard doing that! but it took me 2 hours to complete it! (Of course including a few games on Zuma Blitz on Facebook to rest my eyes, eventhough the game didnt actually help much!)

the original one with tree on the right top corner

and did another one with just cropping the tree away.

another modification

hmmm~ I do think the cropping makes the photo a bit to tight? however, the two focused flowers pop out! hmm! such a dilemma!

Okay, guys, I think I like it more now. I've modified the seat, lengthening the bike four studs. I've modified the footrests and handlebars in more detail. I've added that silkscreened part to the engine. I've added a brake light to the rear and filled in the gaps between the frame and the rear wheel. Of course, I didn't have to take the last photo. 😋
