SRT has released images of their new Viper badge. I find it too busy to be "read" at very small sizes, and a bit cartoony, so I did a slight redesign.
I am not sure if this is meant to mean something in particular, or is just a random modification of the name.
The ring that serves as diaphragm/light meter switch in the RC is too thin for my fingers, so I had this bolt screwed on it to serve me as a small handle for the ring, now setting aperture or selecting "A" is a breeze.
A series of photos taken in and around the Wholesale District of Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This series attempts to create a portrait of the area through an examination of the architecture and other man-made "modifications" to the area.

left side is the "before" version and the right side is after reshaping. Proof that SR seatposts don't have to be ugly!
Test 1: Trying to scale up Saartje's Bootees for my 4-year-old goddaughter. Knit in the round on 2 circular needles. I took the photo while it was blocking, before the buttons were sewn on.
Left hand side iron bar, the hole to the left was going to give me some issues, I knew that, but i couldn't be unmanageable.

Exploring Photography: This week's topic is "Edited".
My camera takes poor photographs when the light is low....such as at dusk.
This was such am amazing surreal sunset with the rural colors of the dry grass along the dirt road , the vivid saturated green of the cane field , the layered haziness of the mountains in the background, against a pastel sunset. Its was so contradictory that I tried to capture it.
This is the edited version. Its still does not do it justice because you can't see the true tone of the grass.
I tried all the setting I could find on my 'point and shoot' camera, but nope. Low light does not produce the best image.
My camera is a Canon digital IXUS55
The original is along side this picture. It is very dark yet in reality you could still all the colors. I can't wait until I can afford a wacky-do SLR camera that I have more control of the amount of light I can allow in.
Anyway, this is an example of 'edited'. Steps I took to attempt to bring up the true colors I saw.

Timer metal base is lain on top of condiment cup to see how it fits there. Good size match and can be glued together or bonded with JB Weld... or even screwed together.
I plan to use this body for a character who's not particularly athletic. So I shaved off a bit of bulk from her shoulders. The tricky part was guessing when to stop before opening holes on her deltoids...
My friend Conal cutting the sway bar from my 1992 Jetta. The mount was broken on the passenger-side swing arm, so we decided to cut it out entirely. There'll be a strut brace added after we're done working on the engine to reclaim some of the rigidity. You can see his highly effective safety equipment right below the blade.
