Head Modification Contest Entry #1 at PNW BJD Expo 2016
Contestants were required to do a head modification + faceup based on the theme of PNW BJD Expo 2016: BJD Comic-Con
Getting on with manufacturing of the left and side footpeg! The center punch is very useful for drilling purposes (probably it's only purpose).
I drilled the heatsink for 8-32 bolts. The holes are out near the edge to minimize heat transfer between the hot and cold sides.
Placement of this was critical as the magnet from the wheel must pass the sweet spot which was lower than you would think. A velcro strap is wrapped around the upright and passed under the screw that holds that maiden T in place.

While renovating the roof of the country house i saw these and they matched my design concept for wider footpegs perfectly, especially because they were free :) In Swedish these are called rännkrokar and that would directly translate to gutter brackets.

A series of photos taken in and around the Wholesale District of Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This series attempts to create a portrait of the area through an examination of the architecture and other man-made "modifications" to the area.
Modifications:

- Sculpture of the nose
- Make-up faceplate and eyelids
- Replacement about eyechips
- Gaze correction
- Boggled eyes
- Sleepy eyes
- Replacement about eyelashes
Even though the speed limit by the playground was a generous 75 MPH (120 kph), all the joggers, skaters and bikers preferred to go much more slowly - probably affected by the calm and the sunshine.

This is the most obvious conversion on this bike. When it was built in the late 1960s or early 1970s this bike would have had an internally geared 3-speed Sturmey-Archer hub. That's gone. Instead it's been built up with this recent Shimano five-speed freewheel. This certainly worked (though it won't now--that freewheel is rusted and shot), but it's hardly true to the original design.
The most annoying part about this is that whoever made this switch must have removed the bike's chain guard, since it wouldn't fit with this new setup. That's a sad loss on such a quintessential road bike.
UPDATE: I've since learned that this bike was almost certainly a five-speed from the start...ironic, given the three-speed setup that I've given it. But this freewheel was certainly a replacement, given both the brand of the derailer and the way that one of the gears is completely unusable.
I just thought this was funny...I didn't pose her like this, it's just how she ended up when I was stuffing her new Obitu with foam so it wouldn't flop.
An artwork intended to spread knowledge of 'Cultural Tree Modification', an ancient method of harvesting wood that does not take the life of a tree. Modified Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar Trees) have lived 2000+ with ongoing harvests.
Considering the crisis of forestry over-harvesting around the world, and the increased global demand for wood products, knowledge of alternative forestry practice should be spread in hopes of finding new solutions in the future. Ancient wisdoms can help us ponder these issues and provide real insight into the care of the Earth's forest bio-mass and ecosystems.
Although only 4 people were present during this bark harvest, photo media documentation of this work had an audience of thousands through social media.

The Hawker Siddeley Nimrod was an extensive modification of the Comet Jet Airliner.
