Both pins for the spring cut off. The seat rake can still be adjusted but you have to manually set the position rather than just lean back against it.
I love to take built items and alter them so significantly that, there is a very high probability that I will be the ONLY one in-world to have one like it.
S.E.V. Marchal distributor. Citroen GS X2.
Modification to make adjustment of points simpler.
Cassette points are not set by gap, but by dwell angle. On early versions of the SEV Marchal distributor, adjustment was by removal of cap (and sometimes body, given its location) and to turn the thumbscrew a by clicks in either direction depending on dwell angle required. Later versions had a hole in the body in which a 3mm allen key was inserted making cap removal unnecessary.
Hole viewed from side without allen key.

Original pattern had front as two separate pieces, but thought it would look nicer if I made it one piece instead. So I think I'm at a point where I have a working pattern for two of the three parts - - might be able to use the bustier pattern to finagle out a pattern for the jacket
Some testing of serrating with grinding machine and a regular, cylindrically shaped grider. That looked just fine so I went on with serrating the footpegs.

brass bushing for the smoothness
On the right hand side I had issues with clearence, actually that's why i altered the footpegs position more to the front. I had to ditch the washers on the two nuts that hit the rear brake cylinder protective cover. This worked just fine and these are now ready to be finalized!
Left hand side footpeg first phase assembly initiated. The goal was to test the pegs and see to that they fit on the bike several times during the development phase.
I haven't done much and I do plan on making a few more modifications (perhaps eyelashes) but she looks much better without all the frizzy hair!
A grinder and that special bending tool were important tools. The bending tool I could have managed without but it was easy to use and perfect for this.
Behind the old tractor park on the sea front in Saltburn can be seen the 19th century grade II listed building that was once the Saltburn Mortuary. It was built in 1881 for the victims of drowning (formerly they were taken to the nearby Ship Inn), but ceased to be used for this purpose in the 1960's. It has since been used as a wood store, a photographers, for Tees Valley wildlife trust and even a museum, but now is up for sale as the Council have no use for it
