The article was about how money can actually lead to misery.
For the past week it had been raining....... Rain, rain and yet more rain. It has now turned cold too. My back yard is looking like a swamp. I decided to put some seed on the bird feeder as I thought that the little birdies might be getting a bit peckish. In short time, nine rainbow lorikeets had descended on the feeder, in spite of the rain. Four in the bird feeder, one on the support cable and four more on the supporting hoist waiting for the rest to finish.
One couple up on the hoist looked particularly miserable and were huddled together to keep warm.
Waiting for connections can be a bit boring but on the plus side, it was a work trip so I was getting paid to sit there and watch the world go by
Done with 2B mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser and blending stump. Approx A4 size. Time taken: about 25 hrs. (Will upload proper scan copy when I have access to scanner) I can't even remember when was the last time I put in so much effort and patience into doing something. And now, I'm filled with admiration for all the artists who take time to perfect your work. My FB art page: www.facebook.com/chaseroflight

This is what I’m reading right now.
And this is my mood.
I have a cold so, everything that I can do now is drink tea in beautiful cups and read my super-big book, besides this unromantic internet and wait until the cold is gone.
Do not post or blog this anywhere

when I was a kid
"miserable as always"
was what you said
when I asked how you were feeling
maybe you were healing
from someone you regretted being
but one day, you just stopped saying it
I was never sure how to talk to you
but that's okay, you liked it when I listened
you were nothing like my father
or anyone I ever knew
one hundred percent original human being
vintage nineteen-thirty-two
and like everyone would tell me
you got better with age
I knew all about
the rage in your past
but who you were in the present
held me together when I was feeling
like no one understood
you were one of the few
who were old and alive
I had half your wisdom
and a third of your time
but you always let me in on your mind
you taught me to be stubborn
not to give up or shut up
and I don't know if that's enough
but if that was your version of love
I'm sure the words were on
the tip of your tongue
I always felt
like you would live forever
and now that you're gone, I guess you will
with your heavenly audience
telling stories slightly left of truth
about the world-changing achievements
that you made in your youth
when you learned how to pray
but struggled to obey
you learned how to speak
but never to stay
like a dog who finally had his day
no longer "miserable as always"

It's a chasmere scarf wrapped around her head, not a sharp, spiney torture device, as her face would suggest.
Saw them in a seafood market. They were sold during my taking photos of them. The lady owner was so nice to ask the customers to wait until I finished my shots, lol.
Durham - Easter Monday 2008.
Typical Bank Holiday - it snowed - alot!
The weather was so atrcious this day that it sort of spoilt playing with Fuji.
I think it shows as this batch of photos isn't exactly wonderful.
As I am posting them I know I will probably delete most of them later.
I only took this photo as I was following the guy in the kilt!
I am shallow.
But then I slipped in the sludge and gave up.
Never mind..
One looks at the other,
the other won't look back;
I stare at the two of them there,
unable to agree,
always at odds with each other;
It makes me sad
and I don't want to look at either of them anymore -
they are miserable creatures,
destructive in every way,
harmful to each other
and to all who cross their path;
So I turn away from the mirror,
because I hate those miserable souls
drowning in their sea of red,
red,
red...
