Here the Millennium Falcon races above the surface of the Deathstar as it escapes enemy fire.

On board the Millennium Falcon

Remember back when there was some mystery concerning the life and eventual fall of Anakin Skywalker?... Good times.

This is my first of the "Last 17" and by far the most common amongst those figures likely due to him being released first as a mail-away and later on card. While there's not really too much to do w/ him this is a pretty cool figure. The subdued colors of the robe and the paleness of the head really add to him being a ghost.

Design-wise I think Bossk is an fantastic looking alien/creature. Incidentally he's the only other Bounter Hunter in Empire that has a speaking role.

Sculpted STAR WARS Millenium Falcon groom's cake made in July 2008

Went round and round with what to shoot next, be it more Indy or something different. Decided to go with another "set" as it were, somewhat inspired by BW's Dirty Half-Dozen shot, The Empire Six.

The smell of his breath is indescribable as the vile gangster jabbers on in his native tongue; drool protruding from his massive lips. Unfortunately for Captain Solo Jabba the Hutt is a neccessary evil at this point in his carreer.

I don't watch the cartoon but these guys were too cool to pass up!

But which am I talking about? Both of course....

This bad boy took us 2 hours to build, and it was great fun. Cheryl became my official instructions booklet page turner and deputy piece finder.

Features rotating top cannon, opening cockpit and side ramp, and short range blasters on the underside.

Childhood fantasy fulfilled...

This baby was HUGE. It was a 16" round plus the rest of the ship - so about 23 inches long. We had it up off the board about 4 inches, so it looked like it was flying. It was really fun to make and for once, I'd like to do it again! Usually, when I finish one of these big ones, I'm like "I hope no one ever orders this again!" But I could do Millenium Falcon cakes all day long!

It goes w/ out saying that Nunb was the obvious choice after picking up General Lando in the same way that I tracked down Wicket after getting Endor Liea. I think that whole "one leads to another" bit is the reason I got hooked on the Jedi figs to begin with.

Character-wise I was never really big on him but after seeing BW's recent B-Wing pilot shot it occurred to me that Nunb is actually just wearing a vest over B-Wing duds. I dig the make-shiftness of the costume.

A good front profile view. You can really see the influence of the Millennium Falcon here.

Some key "play" features.

The seat can be positioned for space flight or atmospheric flight.

The winglets, when rotated operate landing gear.

It holds a cargo pod snugly between forks.

The hatchway is adorned with a smuggler frozen in carbonite.

VERY swooshable!

"No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive."

I'd say Ig is my third favorite Bounty Hunter (of the Empire 6 at least) with Bossk being 2nd and the Fettman being numero uno. Ig's always had a fairly mysterious vibe to him for reason. He's not the only droid in the lot by he definitely looks more mechanicaly than say 4-Lom. That and he sort of reminds me of the storybook version of the Tinman from The Wizard of Oz.

Whether you like the Originals or prequels better you gotta admit the asteroid sequence in Empire is one of the best in the SW saga.

One of the greatest uses of forshadowing ever concieved.

Almost forgot about it, Skip! Basically I had an extra Vader head and an extra Luke head so I dremeled out a chunk of the Vader mask and cut the Luke face to shape then glued it in and filled the seams. A little black paint and it's the accessory that never was.

Ewoks... I've said it before but I'll reiterate for the masses, Gungans gave me a much deeper appreciation for the little furballs and the whole teddybear picnic thing at the end of Jedi.

By now I'm sure just about everyone remotely into SW knows that Ewoks were part of major marketting campaign aimed at getting younger kids into the series. Luckily for George people seemed to easily overlook the fact that the Ewoks were about to kill, cook, and eat the Rebels...

Incidentally I forgot I had this one complete. The figure and hood are from Dan-O but the staff I got a while back in a lot. Happy accident.

This is the second one of "The Force Project" and is one of my favourite, here you can see my hometown San José and all the action that is going to happen.
