lego 7965 Millenium Falcon.

"Ouch". . .A small scale "Millenium Falcon" as I have been to see THAT film. . .

This papercraft is Millenium Falcon (YT-1300 492727ZED), a spacecraft in the Star Wars universe, the paper model is created by Noturno Sukhoi. The size of finished model is about 140 (H) x 570 (W) x 730 (D) mm.

Alternatively titled "Memories of Green" as I think this shot has sort of a kids playing in the dirt vibe, and how many of us started out that way? I know I did! :)

A digital build of marshal banana's Meteorites. A really impressive build that captures a lot of action and movement. Microscale Star Wars at it's finest.

This will only make sense to those who have seen Family Guy's Blue Harvest. :-)

My customized hallway of my USC falcon.

Was organizing some things and came upon a SW catalog from 1979, right on the verge of ESB. Thought it'd be worth a few uploads as I love these vintage catalogs and I know others out there that do as well. A little rough in some spots, I imagine this booklet got flipped through A LOT!

...and ready to take on opening day of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland.

Always loved the jailbreak sequence in Jedi, it's definitely the better part of the film and one of the best arcs in Saga. Your mileage may vary.

Thermal detonator not included.

Thanks to D-Con for the court denizens in the background.

"Not so funny when it's you, huh?"

I found it a tad funny that this was picture #17 in my camera. :D

"I don't think the Empire had Wookies in mind when they designed her, Chewie."

Just beginning to settup the new Lego room. Too much to build, not enough film to record. Slowly managing trying to find a new job, so figured this would help keep my mind sane.

Enjoy :)

Photographed at the exhibit "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Oregon.

Reenactment of probably the dullest sword fight in motion picture history, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader´s duel in Star Wars. The original movie from 1977 of course, the scene is different in the "A New Hope" edition.

Someone has been referring to me as young of heart lately, this is to prove them right... Never too old to play and have fun.

Oh, and that's a scale model of the Millenium Falcon in the background :-)

Have to admit I really do dig the "saddle legs".

I wanted to cry....but 10 year old me was too happy...

The YT-1300 light freighter was one of the most successful of Corellian Engineering Corporation's freighter designs.

(The most notable example of this model was Millennium Falcon, a modified YT-1300 captained by Han Solo.)

A friend commissioned me to mash up his favorite science fiction and fantasy icons into a single design. This is serving as the source of inspiration for a forthcoming tattoo. I decided to do it in a comic book style, like Jack Kirby. Outlines, flat colors, lots of rays and energy bubbles (but it is truly difficult to master!).

What the what? Who's who?

Top half: (clockwise) Tardis (Doctor Who), Millenium Falcon (Star Wars), Planet Express spaceship (Futurama), Tesla coil, U.S.S. Enterprise (Star Trek: reboot), Serenity (Firefly) over the Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Cosmos nebula.

Midway is the Creation of Adam (thank you Michelangelo) but with Adam as an android, both of them reaching for the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything (The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy) entwined by the One Ring (Lord of the Rings).

Lower half: on the left, two sparrows tow a coconut (Monty Python and the Holy Grail) with tractor beams to English shores while a cyclopean pyramid (Steve Jackson Games) looks on in bemusement. In the center, Vault boy (Fallout) gives his approval atop Cthulhu (Call of Cthulhu) scowling in a highly disapproving manner. On the right, Targaryan dragon and Lannister lion claw at each other while the Stark direwolf and the Night's Watch crow square off (Game of Thrones).

Design drawn with pen & ink, put together and colored in Photoshop. Considerable liberties were taken in choosing icons for placement and coloration, I think you can deal.

Madine wishes he could with Lando as all his scenes were given to Admiral Ackbar instead.

The Millennium Falcon is over 5,000 pieces, built to minifigure scale, over 33" long, 22" wide and 8" tall! (84cm long x 56cm wide x 21cm tall)

At this historical battle General Lando Calrissian, Nien Numb, and Wedge Antilles broke through the entire Imperial Fleet to attack and destroy the most impressive battle station ever built. Many good soldiers died so that these brave pilots would have a chance to destroy the Death Star

This is based off of RogueBantha's depiction of the same scene

May the Fourth be With You.

As it is 'Star Wars Day' today and I have no Star Wars toys to photograph, I decided I would turn my hand into the Millenium Falcon and therefore Han(d) Solo.

Happy Star Wars Day!

The Millenium Falcon, piloted by Han Solo and Chewbacca, approach Earth looking for new markets for Jabba the Hutt's smuggled goods.

Background and Earth images are from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center photostream and can be seen here and here.

Taken for the Active Assignment Weekly! group. This week's assignment: Explore-ability

In the latest set of Lego figures (series 6) the classic alien is my favourite. And in the overall 8 packages that our sons got so far (isn't it great to have children; you can buy childish stuff and even have a good conscience about it) it was in three times. That had to be a sign...

Strobist info: 580 EX II shot from below the milk glass table pointing up at 1/16th for the spooky "lit by the spaceship" (TM) look

Watch it really large.

I've sliced up the loaf cake to make all the bits.

Han here was the first of several mail-ins available during the Power of the Force run (1995-1999) and for me this is where it all started. I was walking through a grocery store, sick as a dog, w/ my mom. We happened down the cereal isle where I spotted the familiar SW text on a box of Fruit Loops. Much to my surprise I discovered Kenner had a whole slue of Star Wars figures in store. It was a good month or two before I found them at retail but I'd made sure to get my proofs of purchase seals in for Han.

Much like Kellogs' Lifeline mail-in some years prior Han was shipped without a weapon, but there were other figures to borrow one from. Unfortunately it would be some time before the accompanying Luke figure was made available.

'Ugly' ship based on the YT Series Freighters.

Features rotating top cannon, opening cockpit and side ramp, and short range blasters on the underside.

Day: 108/365

Sandy here is on a Dragon neo adam buck with modified hands. The costume is Marmit Sandtrooper armor and body glove. Everything's been repainted and weathered to look more realistic. Went w/ the orange pauldron because to me that's the most iconic look for the troop type.

In all honesty he's not completely finished in my eyes. I want to replace the mp40 pouch with a leather one and add one to each hip on the back of the belt.
