I've wanted to do this for a while now. He's sort of a right of passage for vintage SW customizers, up there with the black/red R2 unit or the Fleet Trooper. Apart from the boots and codpiece I kept the paint apps the same as the '79 Fett. Was tempted to do a black visor but decided it went against the limited color palet so grey it is.

The cartoon versions of the Droids are customs as well that I did years ago. I can't justify spending big bucks for either since they're just repaints and not unique sculpts like the Ewok ones were.

When it comes to the Expanded Universe I think 95% of it is utter crap. That said there are a few gems; Thrawn trilogy, Splinter of the Mind's Eye, Shadows of the Empire, Crimson Empire, some of the Bounty Hunter stuff, and Dark Empire to name a handful. DE is actually sort of in the middle for me but I love the design of Luke in his Post-ROTJ years where his costume is reminescent of his black Jedi attire but with some Vader-esque attributes to it. As such this figure is a combination of '83 Luke and '77 Vader complete with a telescoping lightsaber and vinyl cape!

Been pulling out and "refurbishing" some of my older customs. The SW ones were done about 7 or 8 years ago and my skills have improved a bit since then to say the least. I still want to mod the collar area but couldn't resist shooting this guy right quick.

1/6 scale custom. Medicom Yoda repainted, weathered, and haired.

Inspired by Scarrviper's latest Endor shots I decided to shoot some of my own only at much less cool location.

Whether you call them Biker Scouts or Scout Troopers this is my favorite Imp. Troop type... I think. It's like picking a favorite child. I was always a big fan of them as a kid and the Speeder Bikes just made them even more badass. Then they got even cooler in the Battlefront games where they have sniper rifles. Fun!

To all the star wars fans out there.

"May the 4th be with you"

Believe it or not, but there's a gym at the Death Star. Lord Vader's Stormtroopers are using it to stay in good condition and to shape their bodies. Even if their bodies can’t be seen most of the time.

So, if you’re curious to see Stormtroopers without their amour, take a sneak peek on YouTube.

Tarkin was actually planned for the Kenner run c.1985, but never made it past the design stage. It was some time before everyone's favorite vampire hunter finally got a figure.

Not overly thrilled with this shot because of how dark the eyes are but I've never bothered to take a new one. Anyway, here he is. Do you recognize his foul stench?

Macro details of my Solo: A Star Wars Story Milenium Falcon miniature.

This model was standing on one of my shelves for some years now, but same as with the SOLO falcon, the gaps in the design are a pain. I stumbled across a simple but yet effective mod on youtube:

Design is not by me!, it is by Luke Builds on Youtube!

If you have some spare parts lying around, I really recommend doing this small change, to make the falcon look a lot better!

I have always loved the "I love you" - "I know" scene, so this picture goes for this Han / Leia affair :)

It's a trap!

For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice throughout the old republic before the Dark Times; before the Empire.

This is all of them except for Lemonhead whose fate has yet to be decided. Couple options there. Special thanks to D-Con and Kurt for the reinforcements!

He's been from one side of the galaxy to the other, and he's seen a lot of strange stuff...

A lost page from Kenner's 1981 toyfair catalog.

A peg warmer in her day this one is likely my second favorite Leia. The soft-goods poncho is very nice as is the removable belt. Then there's the always impressive removable helmet, something I wish the Rebel Commandos and Endor Luke had. Unfortunately sans poncho she lacks in much of any paint detail, but the overall sculpt underneath is great.

Sadly this wraps up the Kenner Leias. However, I do have one more trick left in the toybox that I think you'll enjoy just as much.

The background scenario is intended as a nod to an unused subplot in Jedi where one of the Rebels ("Nik Sant") dresses up as a Biker Scout using the uniform of the one Han taps on the shoulder and runs from. After the Rebels are captured and led outside the bunker (right before the ewoks attack) you can spot a Scout Trooper with no hemlet and his hands behind his head; that's him!

You're a kid in 1984. This is what toys look like to you.

Millennium Falcon fly-by of Emirates A380. A380 shot from my Sister Jane.

'84 seems a bit late when you consider he was the posterchild of LFL's Ewok campaign. While I can't say he's my favorite of the bunch, or the few I have, but he's still pretty neat for a halfpint and probably the closest I'll ever come to owning a figure of Willow.

Interesting piece of trivia: when Warrick Davis was on-set shooting Jedi, Mark Hammill bought him every SW figure he did not have.

After Endor Leia this seemed like the most obvious choice to get. The little furball showed up today from the 'bay and marks a temporary break from my Vintage Star Wars kick, save for a trade or two. I'll still keep posting them over course just need to shy away from the purchasing. Save some room for later - that sort of thing.

Wicket has secured enough food to last the tribe a good while or at least until that oatmeal guy comes back. Points if you get the reference. ;)

I got these... um, Tatooine frog things from D-Con a while ago and they are one of the coolest SW props I've ever owned. I believe they came w/ a Jar Jar, probably the tongue one, but not important.

The faucon millenium and this x-wing are there to protect the earth, and the moon :)

Millenium falcon interior

Switching gears for a minute (and only a minute ;) ). Since a few of you pointed out that this looked like Endor I decided to take the little furball out with me today. I got him in late 2010 and he's by far one of the coolest figures I bought that year, especially for the size.

"They'd be crazy to follow us!"

I'd say this was such a great scene... But I can't actually think of a bad one. ;)

This one's going to require a little more suspension of disbelief than usual. A bit restless tonight and I've been itching to get the Vintage guys out.

Decided that Boba needed a little something to mix him up a bit more so I 86ed the pouches and shaved off the sash replacing it instead with the gunbelt he wore in the cartoon.

Here the Millennium Falcon fights off pursuing tie fighters. This composition was made using shots of my MPC Millennium Falcon model along with shots of tie fighters I found online.

Been wanting to try this one out. The head is modified from an Endor Han from the old Saga series about ten years back. I really prefer the likeness over a lot of Hasbro's other Ford sculpts. Still have to find hands that match but right now I'm fine w/ him as-is.

Hands down one of the most iconic figures from the line! Everyone had at least one! ...Okay most everybody. I didn't. :( Still this figure is definitely in my top ten favorite vinty SW guys.

Unused take from this this shot. One thing that's always puzzled me about these is the black "strip" on the hip instead of the whole leg above the armor being black. Might be something to explore w/ the Sandys.

You make a living your way, and they'll make it their's.
