Macro Mondays: PLASTIC.

Some ideas are worth releasing into the world, and some are released regardless of worth.

Chapter 1: The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian travels to a desert planet Arvala-7, and meets a native named Kuiil who wants to be rid of the criminals and mercenaries who now inhabit the area. Kuiil teaches the Mandalorian to ride a Blurrg, as there are no land speed vehicles to traverse the area, and sends him to where his bounty is located. Upon reaching the hideout, the Mandalorian grudgingly teams up with bounty droid IG-11. They manage to clear the entire facility of its Nikto guards and discover that the bounty is a green, big-eared child-like creature. IG-11 plans to kill it, but the Mandalorian blasts the droid to protect the baby and bounty.

Of course, Millennium Falcon it is, not a hamburger as I just described in the title, although it's been commonly used in the 70', as Millennium Falcon is inspired by hamburger.

Could this be it what they've all been looking for? Check out IG-88, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, another Darth Vader, Tippett, Bossk and U-3PO. They've all seem to be waiting and looking up in the skies or horizon...

This is taken from the same morning I've discovered the IG-88.

Exploring, the beauty of the past, all else is left to Imagination.

The Millenium Falcon speeds its way across the vast blackness of space.

I love photographing Hotwheels Star Wars ships, but have been disappointed by their lack of detail. So, I weathered them with shoe polish, and wrote about the process for Toy Photographers.

Made for a 9 year old who loves lego and star wars.

Walking through the Falcon is an incredible experience. Something I have been wanting to do ever since I was a kid. Looking forward to going back there some day.

Got my copy of The Force Awakens on Blu Ray today and fell in love with this brief, deleted scene. Loved the look of Kylo Ren investigating the Falcon. Couldn't resist trying to recreate it.

This is a standard chocolate butter cake, double recipe divided into a round and a loaf tin. I had to print out a few pictures to see what I was meant to be making. Prior to this I wouldn't have known a Millenium Falcon had I fallen over one.

Back to that 'carrier bag of memories' again and another from Portugal in 2009.

And the title because.... well i thought this rock formation looked like the crash site of an ancient spaceship :)

So I (obviously) got inspired by that big UCS Falcon with the jet stream that floated around the world wide web a little while ago. I thought it would be fun to make a smaller version of that and making the support out of lego as well.

This meant I first had to design a falcon that didn't weigh too much, which was a fun challenge. The lighting effect is a simple LED-string that I have used in a couple of other builds before. Aside from that it's just lego. I added the base to hide the battery-source as well as for stability and figured some sort of microscale sci-fi city would be appropriate.

Anyways, hope you like it :)

I got a chance to head down to WDW and see Galaxy's Edge at the end of September. This new land did not disappoint a huge Star Wars fan!

Thanks for Looking and have a great day!

6th Creation: Mos Eisley Spaceport

Scene from starwars IV A new hope. The very first scene with the millennium falcon in the saga.

As for the first 5 builds this scene is built at micro scale. You may have noticed that the falcon design is different in each diorama.

'Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Disneyland' special. 'Alaska 538' from DFW to PDX about to go into hyperspace after departing runway 17R. Hazardous weather In the background provided a nice intergalactic-like contrast!

Last night before I went to sleep I thought, I think I'll get out some of my Star Wars toys to photograph in the afternoon. You can imagine my surprise when I took a look at The Ten Cent Designer's photostream. We're insync in our Star Wars geekiness.

You know, when I think of Star Wars I never thought of great writing. It has some of the all-time cheesiest lines in it. Next time you're at a stop light and it turns green, give it the old, "Punch it Chewie" line. If you're with the right generation in the driver's seat, you're sure to get a grin and some unnecessary acceleration.

MALIN HEAD | IRELAND

One of the locations "STAR WARS - The Last Jedi" was filmed. On that far ridge you have to imagine the Millenium Falcon and Chewbacca waving. :)

They actually re-build the whole falcon there for the set. The people there wanted to keep it after filming ended, but weren't allowed. But you can still find a lot of Star Wars around that area. For example a street named R2D2.

That's no moon. it's a space station.

A WW2 gun emplacement on Cramond Island in the Firth of Forth. Despite being abandoned only 75 years ago, these concrete structures are getting very hard to find, particularly with the circular rails still in place like this one. This gun position points out to the North Sea and protects the refineries at Grangemouth and dockyard at Rosyth.

Millennium Falcon famous scene from StarWars V the empire strikes back.

I’m starting a series of micro scale builds of iconic Millennium Falcon scenes.

You can see the corresponding movie screen shot in my gallery.

So here's another angle of the falcon, figured some might want to have a look at it from up top :)

Sometimes you can see the most amazing things when hiking in the mountains, like this falcon skimming over the water. Luckily I had my camera with me and was able to get a shot.
