The Chrysler 300 "letter series" are high-performance personal luxury cars that were built by Chrysler in the U.S. from 1955 to 1965. After the initial year, which was named 300-C, the 1956 cars were designated 300B. Successive model years given the next letter of the alphabet as a suffix (skipping "i"), reaching the 300L by 1965, after which the model was dropped.

1955 C-300

This first of the letter series cars did not bear a letter, but can retroactively be considered the '300A'. The 'C-' designation was applied to all Chrysler models; however for marketing purposes the numerical series skipped more than 225 numbers forward in sequence in order to further reinforce the 300's bhp rating. The 300 originally stood for the 300 hp (220 kW) engine. The C-300 was really a racecar aimed at the NASCAR circuits that was sold for the road for homologation purposes, with Chrysler's most powerful engine, the 331 cu in (5.4 L) FirePower "Hemi" V8, due to the hemisperic shape of the combustion chambers, fitted with twin 4-barrel carburetors, a race-profiled camshaft setup, solid valve lifters, stiffer suspension, and a performance exhaust system.

The car's "Forward Look" styling can be attributed as much to the Chrysler parts bin as designer Virgil Exner. The front clip, including the grille, was taken from the Imperial of the same year, but the rest of the car did not look like an Imperial. The midsection was from a New Yorker hardtop, with a Windsor rear quarter. There were few options available including selection of three exterior colors (red, white and black) and only one color of tan leather interior.

Designer Jasmine has been fully deboxed, and is posed standing, supported by the custom doll stand. Her overskirt, freed from the factory restraints, is now wider than the doll stand, and is allowed to drape over the edges of the base. The sunlight was fading as I was taking these photos, so some of the closeups used flash.

First look at the Disney Princess Designer Collection Jasmine Doll. She was released in October 2011, and I got her from eBay shortly afterwards, so It's been more than a year and a half since I got this doll. But I have not yet deboxed her, and this the first time I am doing a full photoshoot of her. I will photograph her boxed, during her deboxing, and fully deboxed.

My Designer Jasmine doll is a limited edition doll that was produced and sold exclusively by the Disney Store, and is numbered 5645 of 6000. She is based on the heroine from the Disney animated feature Aladdin (1992). She comes in an acrylic case with a built-in doll stand, with a base that has a golden filigree design, and a golden metallic nameplate. There is also a cardboard cover for the case that I have not photographed here.

She is 11 1/2'' tall, and has the same body as the other Designer Princess dolls, with jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips and knees (internal). She has rubber legs and fixed ankles, with feet angled for high heels.

She has jet black, 12'' long hair tied into a floor length pony tail. There are two golden elastic hairties in the upper and middle part of the ponytail, and the lower portion of her hair has loose curls. It is very soft and shiny. There were a few stray hairs, but I left them alone and did not comb it, as I thought her hair was neat enough as it was out of the box. She has light brown skin, and a unique face sculpt that is very pretty and movie accurate. She has large dark brown almond shaped eyes that are glancing towards her right. She has light blue-green eye shadow, and thick black eyebrows. She has rooted eyelashes, that are tapered in length from short to long, then at the ends there are very long curved antenna like lashes. She has a small straight nose, full dark purple lips in with a closed mouth smile. She has very pale red rouge on her cheeks.

Her three piece gown is made of bright blue-green satin and light blue organza. Her bodice is cropped short to reveal her midsection (including her belly button), and consists of light blue organza embedded with golden gems, draped over her upper arms, and gemmed blue-green satin lower and back sections. Her blue-green satin skirt is floor length and is figure hugging, flairing out at the bottom. It is hemmed and there is a light blue polyester lining. There is a very wide overskirt of the double layered light blue satin. I is open in front, but can be wrapped around to completely cover her inner skirt, or can be folded to reveal her inner skirt.

She is wearing light blue-green high heeled shoes, which match the color of her skirt.

Her accessories include earrings, a chain belt with pendant and Aladdin's lamp. The earrings are large golden triangles with gold colored gems. Her belt is made of fine gold chain, with a large round jeweled pendant just below her waist that gathers the strands of the chain together, the remainder of which fall almost to the floor. In her right hand is a golden lamp that is bejeweled with yellow gems. The top of the lamp is removable (it is held in place with rubber bands, which I left in place).

There were no real surprises revealed by deboxing her, although it was nice to see the full extent of her overskirt. I was also glad to take her out of her awkward head pose, which was a common problem among the Designer Princesses. One thing I didn't like was that her top was a little too short, and revealed her waist joint (that enables her to spin her upper body around 360 degrees). Tugging on her top didn't move it enough to hide the joint in the front. As a consequence, her waist joint moved very freely, and her upper body tended to turn whenever she was handled, aided by her long hair. Also her long luxurious hair is very heavy, so tends to pull her backwards slightly when she is posed on the display stand. Designer Rapunzel has a similar problem. Her very wide floor length overskirt and floor length hair make it difficult to rebox her neatly, which is a common problem with the Designer dolls with very wide floor length skirts.

The Peugeot 304 is a small family car which was produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1969 to 1980.

The 304 was introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show in September 1969. Production of the saloon/sedan on the Sochaux assembly lines was discontinued during the summer of 1979, while the "Break" (estate) was produced until the spring of 1980.

Peugeot, which had always been a financially prudent company, saw a gap in the midsize car market in France, Italy and the rest of Western Europe. By using the smaller 204's midsection, development costs were minimized resulting in a higher profit margin because of the higher pricing structure in the larger, better equipped market. The 304's main competitors on its home market came from Renault and Simca, with Citroen noticeably absent from this sector at the launch. The 304 was a success for Peugeot and was noted for several advanced features under its Pininfarina styled exterior. With its independent suspended front-wheel-drive drivetrain and disc brakes, it rode and handled better than most of its contemporaries, including some cars in higher price brackets. The chassis served Peugeot well and lasted for approximately 24 years adapted to derivative models. There was a distinct upmarket feel to the 304, its handsome lines were well suited to postwar Europe's newly affluent middle classes who desired roomy, advanced and stylish cars to park in their driveways. At about this time the Autoroutes were opening up France and car manufacturers around Europe knew that any car launched hence, would need to add an ability to travel at high speeds, in relative comfort with sure-footed handling to its lineup in order to compete. The 304 fulfilled this brief and became one of the best-selling cars in its market segment.

The car was sold until 1980 and was replaced by the Peugeot 305, which had been launched in 1977.

It was based on the Peugeot 204 with which it shared many components, the most obvious difference being the frontal styling.

In order to eliminate back pain that already bothers you or to stay away from injuries that may occur from day to day activities, it is important to keep the core strong and flexible. There is a number of exercises doctors and personal trainers advise you to do, but how about that time of the day when you are not able to attend a gym or hit the floor for some "ME" time?

There is a solution - SpinaliS chairs for active sitting. As a matter of fact that is the BEST SOLUTION because you don't have to do anything, but sit. At the first glance the SpinaliS chair looks like a well designed regular office chair, but there is a difference - a spring under its seat, which forces your body to keep itself in the balance thus working out your core muscles that in return will help you to get rid of the back pain and will improve your posture.

Check out SpinaliS Apollo Series chairs, which is an ideal choice for women or men with a smaller body type:

What the Core Does?

The area of the body, which is commonly referred to as the core, is your midsection and it involves all your muscles in that area including the front, back and sides. The core includes the traverse abdominis (TVA), erector spinae, obliques and your lower lats.

These muscles work as stabilizers for the entire body. Core training is simply doing specific exercises to develop and strengthen these stabilizer muscles.

If any of these core muscles are weakened, it could result in lower back pain or a protruding waistlines. Keeping these core muscles strong can do wonders for your posture and help give you more strength in other exercises like running, walking or sitting on a SpinaliS chair.

Some quick shots before in head off on a trip, final shots to be taken with a tripod and a proper camera just before deadline day. Gotta go work on my back story and write up.

It still one-hand swooshes -- no jarring or super quick movements to avoid a few things falling off, and I'm not super happy with the rear and front attach systems (will have to improve that later for shows/travel, etc.).

Remark: This photograph was taken facing northwest. The park, as well as Lippett Fountain visible in the center of the photograph, still exist [2014].

The street running from left to right through the midsection of the photograph is North West Street. The house to the left on this street (automobile in front) and the house to the far still exist. The two houses between them have been replaced with homes that appear to have been constructed in the 1930s.

The three houses visible uphill also still exists and are located on North Deanway Street.

In 1912, the Colfax Women's Park Association purchased the land that consists of the park from the Lutheran Church. The park was named in honor of the church's minister at that time, Reverend Cushing Eells.

Partway along the core I embedded a nut, bracketed above and below with washers to bear the longitudinal load when all the sections are bolted together. I made the rectangular washers out of short lengths of ¾ inch strap steel. The nut is drilled through the centre and pinned, firstly to ensure that the connecting threaded rods can each be screwed right home without taking more than half the nut; secondly to ensure the nut will not turn in the core. The collar nut actually ‘floats’: that is, it is allowed to move a few millimetres up or down in the core. This is bith to ensure the compression is evenly distributed through the bolted sections, secondly to allow for rotational adjustment of the section without compromising tightness. I’ll explain the reason for that later.

DongFeng 15 (Export name: M-9; NATO codename: CSS-6, Chinese: East Wind 15), a Short-Range Ballistic Missile, is the only non-nuclear missile in service with the PLA Second Artillery Corps (i.e. strategic missile force).

The missile shown here is most probably a DongFeng15B, which is fitted with four small fins at midsection for corrections at the final phase of the flight.

This vehicle is a TAS5450 or WS2400 8X8 transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicle.

Apparently, only after this vehicle had paraded passed the Tiananmen Square was the camuoflage sheet pulled over the missile.

When it comes to your figure, there are a couple of procedures that are very common. The first focuses on your midsection and helps firm it up, and having a tummy tuck in Beverly Hills is exactly what you need if you're tired of having a loose, flabby belly.

When I rented the Canon 135mm lens a while ago I took Hannah out with me and had her run towards me while shooting wide open at f/2. Super short depth of field but extremely hard to focus on her face.

At first, I though the camera was having troubles because it continued to focus on her midsection. THEN I realized that the camera was just picky and seemed to have a preference for tracking flies over dogs.

Stupid camera!

Best viewed a little larger.

yay, first film upload! more to come ah I'm excited

I was tagged again a while ago by www.flickr.com/photos/25465758@N08/, so here goes-

1. I'm 5'7 because of my long legs. I wish my midsection would lengthen out instead haha

2. my dad's genes played out on the left side of my face (which I like) and my mom's on the right side

3. I love having dreams, even nightmares.

4. I'm a huge dreamer, but a realist, so my dreams make me sad sometimes

5. I will paint huge sections of my walls with those teeny little paint sample brushes

6. right now I'm lost and a mess

7. I can't run to save my life

8. but I can skateboard all day, and I love it. I quit during summer for nice legs, but they're all bruised and scabbed up again now haha

9. I don't think I'll ever meet someone who loves like I do

10. all three of my names have 9 letters, and 9 is my favorite number. (huh, I never really thought about that, maybe its not a coincidence)

I'm not gonna tag anyone this time, sorrrrry

AGM-86 Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM)

The Air-Launched Cruise Missile is a long-range, unpiloted craft. It provides the U.S. Air Force with a strategic weapon that can be launched outside enemy airspace. The missile can carry a conventional or a nuclear warhead in its midsection, just in front of the wings.

Radar detection is difficult because of the missile's small size and low-altitude flight. It can fly just above treetops at 500 miles per hour. Infrared detection is difficult because the turbofan engine emits little heat.

The missile navigates and locates its target by using several guidance systems. An inertial navigation system uses sensors and gyroscopes to measure acceleration and changes in direction. It is updated during flight by a more precise system that matches the contour of the terrain using maps stored in computer memory. On some missiles, a Global Positioning System receiver uses the military's network of satellites to detect positions with high accuracy. The target system, or the missile, may use a camera and image correlator to find the target with Digital Scene Matching Area Correlation. This guidance system is especially effective if the target is moving. A cruise missile can also be equipped with heat-sensing or light-sensing devices.

The missile is destroyed when the warhead explodes. Cruise missiles armed with conventional explosives have been used during hostilities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, and the Balkans.

A large 13th Century gothic castle, first mentioned in 1350, which was destroyed in Bohemian-Hungarian wars in the 15th Century. It was a quite large castle complex with triple configuration - a large and long bailey, three main trechnes, a midsection and a separate core. The disposition is still well visible, a path follows the first trench around the bailey, through the second and third trench up to the core. Two drawbridges isolated the core, which was otherwise surrounded by inaccessible steep rocks. It´s well walkable and very popular by tourists.

BOUDICCA

Passenger Cruise ship owner operated by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.

Built in 1973 in Helsinki shipyard, Finland as Royal Viking and sailed under the Royal Viking Line.

Boudicca was acquired by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in 2005. The line also operates its sister ship, the former Royal Viking Star, as the popular Black Watch.

Boudicca was "stretched" in the early 1980s with the addition of a 91-foot midsection, gaining a considerable amount of open-air sunbathing space on the top deck.

Basis layout almost done, missing some green which I ordered. Additional 3 baseplates to go with the loop on the right (not visible) are also missing green. This was the boring part, now for the fun stuff, building on it.

There`s no danger of being passed over when you are wearing this delightfully stylish appliqued strapless a-line wedding dress. Appliquéd details add intricate panache to the midsection beaded bow sash of this eye catching dress. Its sharply detailed bodice is punctuated by a straight cut neckline. Yards of radiant material sweep to the floor on the adorned skirt for a lovely finishing touch.

P.S. New title: Better than a slip of the tongue.

And I didn't use midsections because the whole point was to emphasize feet, not bodies.

A couple of years ago I began a major project: building a reproduction Georgian bedstead; a four-poster with canopy. It is basically a copy of a bed that we saw in a National Trust House in Hampshire - Hinton Ampner. I did not have a measured drawing, just photographs to go on. As you can see from other photos already in the album, the bed is well underway and has been in use for about a year. This last summer I made the mid sections of the bedposts; 42 inches long, turned, reeded and fluted. I have already uploaded quite a number of photos showing the process, but, not having time to title or describe them, I have kept them till now restricted to 'Family'. I will start working on that.

Another item that caught my eye at The National Space Centre (see first comment box) was this striking looking missile.

The Ruhrstahl Ru 344 X-4 or Ruhrstahl-Kramer RK 344 was a wire guided air-to-air missile designed by Germany during World War II. The X-4 did not see operational service and thus was not proven in combat but inspired considerable post-war work around the world and was the basis for the development of several ground-launched anti-tank missiles, including the Malkara.

The missile was spin-stabilized at about 60 rpm, so any asymmetrical thrust from the engine or inaccuracies in the control surfaces would be evened out. Signals to operate control surfaces on the tail were sent via two wires (a method chosen to avoid jamming), which unwound from bobbins housed within long, bullet-shaped fairings, themselves mounted either on the roots of an opposing pair of the larger mid-body fins (there were four, swept 45°), or on those same fins' opposing tips; these contained a total of about 5.5 km (3.4 mi; 3.0 nmi) of wire. The wires were controlled by a joystick from the the cockpit of the launch aircraft. A gyroscope kept track of "up" so control inputs from the pilot's joystick in the launch aircraft could be translated into yaw and pitch as the missile spun. Flares attached to two of the midsection wings were used to keep the missile visible through the smoke of its motor.

The warhead consisted of a 20 kg (44 lb) fragmentation device that had a lethal radius of about 8 m (26 ft). It was thought that the guidance system would allow the pilot to get the missile into this range in terms of pitch and yaw, but at the ranges the missile could operate at it would be almost impossible to judge range to anywhere near this accuracy. For this reason the missile mounted a proximity fuse known as Kranich, an acoustical system tuned to the 200 Hz sound of the American B-17 bomber's engines in cruise, activated by the Doppler shift as the missile approached.

High horsepower and low quarter-mile times are great and all, but in an era when speed comes cheaper than ever, any manufacturer that expects to launch a successful six-figure sports car out of the blue had better bring something unique to the table. The midengine 2008 Audi R8 could be just the thing.

Certain design aspects of the R8 might bring to mind a Porsche, a Corvette or the late Acura NSX, but because the R8 carries a 4.2-liter V8 in its midsection, sends 420 hp to all four wheels, offers two transmissions and wraps it all in an aluminum space frame, this Audi clearly has its own attitude. The only car coming close to that description wears the name Lamborghini Gallardo -- no surprise, as that midengine exotic provided the basic blueprints for this one. Audi's $70-grand-lower price tag ensures the competition will be minimal, as does the R8's two fewer cylinders and 100 fewer horsepower.

Yet the R8 is undoubtedly fast. Sixty miles per hour comes up in 4.4 seconds, a quoted top speed of 187 mph arrives not much later, and tire grip approaches a full g -- all par for this potent class. Among the bigger differences: the R8 lets its driver exploit that speed through a six-speed manual or "R tronic" transmission (Audi's newest take on the clutchless manual); Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive allows hard driving with an extra degree of confidence; and perhaps above all, the R8 incorporates Audi's usual concessions to comfort rather than raw performance. Consider its advanced, ride-friendly electromagnetic shock absorbers, for instance.

When one looks at what Audi has done with its R8 and the focus on performance and everyday comfort, it's pretty obvious that the intended target is Porsche's 911. Impressively, the 2008 Audi R8 stands tall in just about every possible measure, and it's more controllable at the limit than the rear-engined Porsche. However, pricing is such that the R8 competes against some true exotics, such as the 911 Turbo, the Aston Martin V8 and the new Maserati GranTurismo. Among this group, the R8's drawbacks include less steering feel and a lack of possible customization through the factory. Still, to those who prefer the "middle ground" of driving sports cars, appreciate all-wheel drive and have an eye for Audi's innovative interiors, the R8 stands as the obvious choice.
