USED Lady B wear PVC vinyl catsuit.

This suit has been worn many times but would make a great starter catsuit or a base pattern for a catsuit. It is unlined so it can be easily altered. Measurements unstretched are 41 inch bust, 37 inch waist, and 42 inch hips, but I wore this catsuit with a 48 inch bust, 43 inch waist, and 47 inch hips. It has been stretched a bit and there are a few discoloration spots: one on a lower leg and four on the midsection, one in front and two in back. If you plan to wear knee high boots and a belt with this costume they should not be too noticeable, as it is mostly faintly rubbed off silver spray paint from a previous cosplay accessory. The detail pictures are the best I could capture the spots with flash. I paid over $140 originally for this suit! $45 + shipping.

Old Cathedral, Jesuit church, Ignatius church

Sacred buildings and ECCLESIASTICAL INSTITUTIONS

Artists: Herbert Bayer, Arthur Viehböck, Heinz Baumüller, Pietro Francesco Carlone

Location: Dom alley 3, Rathaus quarter

District: Linz Center

Date: 1669

The Jesuit church is a Baroque single-naved church with lateral chapels and galleries, straight-closed choir, two façade towers and ridge turrets above the choir. The interior is richly decorated with stucco.

The church is on the north and west side detached, the south side is hidden by the roadside attached houses, the eastern wall of the choir joins the built after 1909 new monastery.

The main facade consists of five floors, the bottom two are subdivided by a colossal Tuscan arrangement with cranked pilasters.

The main entrance is flanked by each one pilaster and two to the middle staggered Corinthian columns supporting a blasted segmented pediment; in these is a wall niche, crowned by a blasted triangular gable with shield-shaped ornament and monogram of Christ. Put in is a stone statue of Mary on the crescent moon with folded hands.

The double-winged gate is vertically divided into three fields, of which the lower two are covered with a diamond pattern, while the top one shows rich carving. The middle of the two lower fields forms a narrow, round-arched false gate.

The gable crest is determined by a midsection provided with segment gables. Beside the central window harbor niches the stone statues of St. Franz Xaver (left) and St. Francis of Borgia (right). On the pediment stands a colossal statue of St. Ignatius, in his right hand holding the monogram of Christ with wheel of fire of perforated metal, in the left hand an open book.

Instead of the previous onion helmets that burned down in 1800, the spiers were formed in the form of eight-sided curved pyramid stumps, whose construction according to the draft of Landesbaudirektion (Regional Building Management) began 1805, after an interruption by the war only 1813 by master carpenter Franz Scheitz and coppersmith Franz Mayer completed. The putting in of the Cross was carried out 1808.

History

1669 was solemnly laid the foundation stone for the church in the middle of the threshold of the main entrance. In the same year the southwards joining city wall together with kennel from the city was purchased. 1673 the roof level was reached and started with construction of the roof. 1674 the towers were built, which were completed a year later. 1676 the church was completed. It was - still without high altar - consecrated on September 4, 1678.

The designing architect of the church is unknown, but its relationship with the Collegiate Church of Garsten (Upper Austria) suggests Pietro Francesco Carlone as the author.

The church with October 15, 2009 was put under monument protection.

Alter Dom, Jesuitenkirche, Ignatiuskirche

Core stability refers to a person's ability to stabilise their core. Stability, in this context, should be considered as an ability to control the position and movement of the core. Thus, if a person has greater core stability, they have a greater level of control over the position and movement of this area of their body. The body's core is frequently involved in aiding other movements of the body, such as the limbs, and it is considered that by improving core stability a person's ability to perform these other movements may also be improved i.e. core stability training may help improve someone's running ability. The bodies core region is sometimes referred to as the torso or the trunk, although there are some differences in the muscles identified as constituting them. The major muscles involved in core stability include the pelvic floor muscles, transversus abdominis, multifidus, internal and external obliques, rectus abdominis, erector spinae (sacrospinalis) especially the longissimus thoracis, and the diaphragm. The minor muscles involved include the latissimus dorsi, gluteus maximus, and trapezius. Notably, breathing, including the action of the diaphragm, can significantly influence the posture and movement of the core; this is especially apparent in regard to extreme ranges of inhalation and exhalation. On this basis, how a person is breathing may influence their ability to control their core.

Some researchers have argued that the generation of intra-abdominal pressure, caused by the activation of the core muscles and especially the transversus abdominis, may serve to lend support to the lumbar spine.

Typically, the core is associated with the body's center of gravity, which is over the region of the second sacral vertebrae groups and stability is associated with isometric or static strength. In addition, it is the lumbar spine that is primarily responsible for posture and stability thus providing the strength needed for the stability especially utilized in dynamic sports.

Peugeot 304 Break

Peugeot 304

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Peugeot 304 is a small family car which was produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1969 to 1980.

The 304 was introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show in September 1969.

Production of the saloon/sedan on the Sochaux assembly lines was discontinued during the summer of 1979, while the "Break" (estate) was produced until the spring of 1980.

Peugeot, which had always been a financially prudent company, saw a gap in the midsize car market in France, Italy and the rest of Western Europe.

By using the smaller 204's midsection, development costs were minimized resulting in a higher profit margin because of the higher pricing structure in the larger, better equipped market.

The 304's main competitors on its home market came from Renault and Simca, with Citroen noticeably absent from this sector at the launch.

The 304 was a success for Peugeot and was noted for several advanced features under its Pininfarina styled exterior.

With its independent suspended front-wheel-drive drivetrain and disc brakes, it rode and handled better than most of its contemporaries, including some cars in higher price brackets.

The chassis served Peugeot well and lasted for approximately 24 years adapted to derivative models. There was a distinct upmarket feel to the 304, its handsome lines were well suited to postwar Europe's newly affluent middle classes who desired roomy, advanced and stylish cars to park in their driveways.

At about this time the Autoroutes were opening up France and car manufacturers around Europe knew that any car launched hence, would need to add an ability to travel at high speeds, in relative comfort with sure-footed handling to its lineup in order to compete. The 304 fulfilled this brief and became one of the best-selling cars in its market segment.

The car was sold until 1980 and was replaced by the Peugeot 305, which had been launched in 1977.

It was based on the Peugeot 204 with which it shared many components, the most obvious difference being the frontal styling."

Chuckwallas are large lizards found primarily in arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. Some are found on coastal islands. There are five species of chuckwallas, all within the genus Sauromalus; they are part of the iguanid family, Iguanidae.

Chuckwallas are a stocky wide-bodied lizard with a flattened midsection and prominent belly. Their tails are thick, tapering to a blunt tip. Loose folds of skin characterize the neck and sides of the body, which is covered in small, coarsely granular scales. The common chuckwalla (Sauromalus ater) measures 15 3/4 inches.

The genus Sauromalus has a wide distribution in biomes of the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts. The common chuckwalla (Sauromalus ater) is the species with the greatest range, found from southern California east to southern Nevada and Utah, western Arizona and south to Baja California and northwestern Mexico. The peninsular chuckwalla (Sauromalus australis) is found on the eastern portion of the southern half of the Baja California peninsula.

Chuckwallas prefer lava flows and rocky areas. These areas are typically vegetated by creosote bush and other such drought-tolerant scrub. The lizards may be found at elevations of up to 4,500 feet (1,370 m).

The Humpback Covered Bridge located in the U.S. state of Virginia, is one of the only remaining covered bridges in the United States that was built higher in the middle than on either end; hence the name of "humpback". The bridge was built in 1857 and is also the oldest remaining covered bridge in the state of Virginia. Its WGCB number is 46-03-01. The bridge spans a tributary of the Jackson River known as Dunlap Creek, for a distance of 109 feet (33 m). The humpback feature is 4 feet (1.2 m) higher in the center than at either end. The bridge is located near the city of Covington, Virginia.

Three bridges stood at approximately the same location as Humpback Covered Bridge does today. The first bridge was built in the 1820s and was destroyed by a flood in 1837. A second bridge built the next year was also damaged beyond repair by a flood on July 13, 1842. The third bridge collapsed in 1856 due to heavy use and fatigue from weathering. None of these earlier bridges were either arched or covered. All three bridges were a part of the James River and Kanawha Turnpike, a heavily used mountain road that connected the Shenandoah Valley with the Alleghany Mountains and areas further west. The current bridge was built in 1857 and the design of both covering and also arching the bridge was hoped to increase the longevity of the bridge by protecting the midsection from future floods and the decking from the ravaging effects of moisture and sunlight.

The Humpback Covered Bridge was used from 1857 to 1929, when a steel truss bridge was built for U.S. Highway 60 immediately to the north. The bridge was abandoned but was sometimes used by a local farmer into the early 1950s to store hay bales. In 1953, the Virginia Highway Department matched a $5,000 fund that had been raised by the Covington Business and Professional Women's Club and the Covington Chamber of Commerce. Five acres surrounding the bridge were purchased and a small wayside park which opened in 1954 was built, allowing easier access. On October 1, 1969, the bridge was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Most covered bridges were made of the strongest readily available wood. In the case of the Humpback Covered Bridge, this meant white oak and hickory. The bridge, as it stands today, has most of the original hand-hewn support timbers and decking that was laid down in 1857, however, most of the walls and roofing have been replaced several times since. Bridge decking was traditionally constructed of wide planks a foot (30.5 cm) or more in width and 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) in thickness. Most of the support beams are at least a foot thick (30.5 cm). The supports in the bridge utilized hand made honey locust wood pins to fasten sections of the supports together. The supports incorporate a unique curved multiple kingpost-truss system that is not found in any other surviving wooden bridge in the U.S. The bridge is an original and completely unique design not duplicated anywhere else.

Your body should be completely straight in one line with your midsection contracted and pulled in. Avoid shoulder irritation by keeping your hands directly beneath your shoulders. Don't let them come out in front of you as all the weight will go to the shoulder join, instead of being dispersed throughout your muscles. Joints should never carry weight - that the muscles job!

In order to eliminate back pain that already bothers you or to stay away from injuries that may occur from day to day activities, it is important to keep the core strong and flexible. There is a number of exercises doctors and personal trainers advise you to do, but how about that time of the day when you are not able to attend a gym or hit the floor for some "ME" time?

There is a solution - SpinaliS chairs for active sitting. As a matter of fact that is the BEST SOLUTION because you don't have to do anything, but sit. At the first glance the SpinaliS chair looks like a well designed regular office chair, but there is a difference - a spring under its seat, which forces your body to keep itself in the balance thus working out your core muscles that in return will help you to get rid of the back pain and will improve your posture.

Check out SpinaliS Apollo Series chairs, which is an ideal choice for women or men with a smaller body type:

www.spinalis-chairs.ca/spinalis-chairs/apollo/

What the Core Does?

The area of the body, which is commonly referred to as the core, is your midsection and it involves all your muscles in that area including the front, back and sides. The core includes the traverse abdominis (TVA), erector spinae, obliques and your lower lats.

These muscles work as stabilizers for the entire body. Core training is simply doing specific exercises to develop and strengthen these stabilizer muscles.

If any of these core muscles are weakened, it could result in lower back pain or a protruding waistlines. Keeping these core muscles strong can do wonders for your posture and help give you more strength in other exercises like running, walking or sitting on a SpinaliS chair.

SCARED THE BEJEZUS OUTTA ME!!

Finally after 3 years in Vegas.... I get my sights on my first rattlesnake! This rattler was within 3ft. from me as I was shooting the baby birds. I didn't even know it was there until it started slithering away. I guess my flash must've startled it. Thank God I didn't hear its tail rattle, which means it wasn't threatened by me. It did rattle after I started photographing it. There is some bad scarring on its midsection, looks like something tried to eat it. I'm thinking a raptor tried to carry it off.

This is a rare male Bar-winged Skimmer (L. axilena). I've had the best population of them I've ever watched at the wetlands - saw 5 in one day which is more than I usually spot in a season. They look a lot like Slaty skimmers at a distance and emerged before them. Now I have to take a close look at every Slaty-type out there. You can often see their powdery-white midsection from a distance and even the long ears on their wolf's heads - see shot below. Slaty and Great blue skimmers have no extensions on the "ears". The extensive black on their wings can signal BW's but I've seen many female Slaty's with more black than this individual.

Butterflies really picked up after a couple of days of drier weather, but then we had 3" of rain last night :-(. I'll post a butterfly Friday.

I was initially skeptical about LEGO deciding to build the midsection of the engines out of brick, but it conveniently gives the back landing gear at least some space to retract up against the ship.

I recently purchased the newest X-Wing set; in my opinion it's their best yet when it comes to scale. However, while I completely understand why LEGO chooses to color their X-Wings white (we get enough grey Star Wars ships as it is), I wanted to modify the ship to bring it closer to perfection, in both color and detail. So, here's my first draft! Let me know what you think.

Exquisite corpse is a segmented drawing of feet, midsection, and head, each drawn by a different person. This has a ship sailing top, an abstract organic tissue mid section, and a beetle butt bottom.

The common chuckwalla (Sauromalus ater) measures 40 cm in length whereas insular species such as the giant chuckwalla of San Esteban Island (Sauromalus varius) can measure as much as 76 cm in total length.

They are sexually dimorphic with males having reddish-pink to orange, yellow or light gray bodies and black heads, shoulders and limbs; females and the immature have bodies with scattered spots or contrasting bands of light and dark in shades of gray or yellow. Males are generally larger than females and possess well-developed femoral pores located on the inner sides of their thighs; these pores produce secretions believed to play a role in marking territory.

The other species are island-dwelling and therefore have much more restricted distributions. The Angel Island chuckwalla (Sauromalus hispidus) is found on Isla Ángel de la Guarda and surrounding islands off the coast of the Baja California peninsula.[5] Two rare and endangered species are the Montserrat chuckwalla (Sauromalus slevini) found on Islas Carmen, Coronados and Montserrat in the southern Gulf of California and the San Esteban chuckwalla or painted chuckwalla (Sauromalus varius) found on San Esteban Island, Lobos and Pelicanos.

Chuckwallas prefer lava flows and rocky areas. These areas are typically vegetated by creosote bush and other such drought-tolerant scrub. The lizards may be found at elevations of up to 4,500 feet (1,370 m).

Primarily herbivorous, chuckwallas feed on leaves, fruit and flowers of annuals and perennial plants; insects represent a supplementary prey. The lizards are said to prefer yellow flowers, such as those of the brittlebush (Encelia farinosa).

Harmless to humans, these lizards are known to run from potential threats. When disturbed, a chuckwalla will wedge itself into a tight rock crevice, gulp air, and inflate its body in order to entrench itself.

Males are seasonally and conditionally territorial; an abundance of resources tends to create a hierarchy based on size, with one large male dominating the area's smaller males. Chuckwallas use a combination of colour and physical displays, namely "push ups", head-hobbing, and gaping of the mouth to communicate and defend their territory (see animal communication).

Chuckwallas are diurnal animals and as they are ectothermic, spend much of their mornings and winter days basking. These lizards are well adapted to desert conditions; they are active at temperatures of up to 102 °F (39 °C, Juveniles emerge first, then adults, as tempatures reach around 90 °F. Chuckwallas hibernate during cooler months and emerge in February.

Mating occurs from April to July, with 5–16 eggs laid between June and August. The eggs hatch in late September. Chuckwallas may live for 25 years or more.

This morning the Triumph arrived in the port of Rotterdam with the oil rig Maesrk Resolve on deck. The Triumph is a heavy transport ship from the dutch company Dockwise.

The semi-submersible heavy lift vessel Triumph now joins the fleet of Dockwise. The Triumph is one of six single-hull tankers converted into heavy lift vessels at the Cosco Guangdong Shipyard. The vessel was delivered on December 16, 2008 and left for Singapore to load its first cargo on December 17, 2008.

The heavy transport vessel is designed to transport complex, high-value cargo and has a carrying capacity in excess of 35,000 tons. With an unobstructed deck area measuring 44.5 m x 130 m, the vessel is well suited for carrying semi-submersible and jack-up drilling units, as well as offshore structures. During the conversion, the entire midsection was newly constructed and fitted to the bow and aft part of the single-hull tanker. As a result, the classification authorities consider the vessel to have an economic life of around ten years, resulting in a remaining economic life of 20 years.

To ensure the most effective way of operating the vessel, Dockwise has appointed Anglo-Eastern Ship Management to provide technical and crew management. As such, the new vessels will operate under the same management systems as the existing Dockwise vessels. Crews, superintendents and other personnel will therefore be completely familiar with all operating procedures, ensuring safe operations.

Width overall 45.00 m

Length overall 217.00 m

Deck space overall 5,785 sqm

The KATAMA of today is a 235’x 40’, 13.5-knot, “freight” vessel. In 1981, she started life as an Offshore Supply Vessel running to oil rigs and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. 1988 marked her first conversion to ferry service when the SSA added a rounded stern to fit loading ramps and a small passenger area. Ten years later a fifty-foot midsection was added along with an engine upgrade to more powerful EMDs. KATAMA is certified for 149 persons on board and serves (on most schedules) Martha’s Vineyard as a truck and back-up car carrier. She also performs important tasks such as moving all of the Island’s SEMASS recycling plant trash across the Sound; bringing hazardous propane and petroleum products to heat Island homes and power Island vehicles; and moving every sort of general cargo to power the Island life and economy. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available.
