From my Dads Archive

In my ongoing mission to archive my Dads photography I'm now working on his medium format film. I am not spotting these as it takes to much time and in many cases not possible.

It-is-what-it-is, a moment in time.

The rhyolitic landscape of the highlands of Iceland are truly something to behold in person. The subtle multicolored hues were very difficult to photograph, even my digital pictures don't do a good job of showing the vibrance of the area.

From my Ukrainian archive .The portrait of medical doctor.I don't remember his name. We worked together for very short period of time in one Ukrainian clinic.. I just bought a medium format camera and this portrait was one of the first that I made with this camera. I never saw him again .

We had in common our age (26) and medical profession.

This rig is actually very well balanced. I was out for a walk this afternoon in light snow and -12 C, with some TMY 400 ASA rolls to take some handheld shots. It felt good and worked out nicely.

I took three cameras on vacation -- the Rosko (a Diana clone), my Yashica C (intending to use it mostly), and the Holga. I ended up basically just using the Rosko. It just was too much work juggling cameras.
