An afternoon stop on my way to North Conway in New Hampshire rewarded me with a tranquil view on Mount Chocorua, by the lake, named after this peak. I cannot tell what pleases me more: the subtlety of the autumn colors or the gesture of the birch, leaning toward the distant mountain.
the brilliant glory of Summer is over. it will linger for several more weeks, but its majesty has passed. the leaves will start to turn, the wind will pick up a chill, the bird will begin their mysterious migrations. Autumn is rising. Thoughts will turn to hearths and holidays, and gold and red will rise in our visual imaginations.
A very rough experiment to see if my Flickr followers like the 50mm equivalent perspective better or the 35mm equivalent.

Me and a friend started to play around and have some with Lomography Redscale XR, a film with strong red cast. We tried to tame the overwhelming look by shooting the stock at night. Here is one of my favorite shots. Lomography Redscale XR, rated at 160, shot on Rolleiflex T2 using a KF 1/8 pro mist filter. Development and Scanning done by the excellent SafeLight Berlin lab.

The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little prayer for you
While combing my hair now
And wonderibg what dress to wear now
I say a little prayer for you
