As close as I could get with the Nikon 60mm and Kenko 25mm Uniplus extension tube. At this distance the light from the strobes will falloff, because it will not hit your subject.
F/16, 1/125, ISO250 with two DS-51 strobes.
It is also advisable to set your camera to AF-C in order to take a photo, since it will be very hard for the D80 to determine focus in AF-A or AF-S mode. With AF-C (continuous mode) you can press the shutter at any given moment whether the subject is in focus or not)

After 9 months of gestation, the baby was born on August 10, 2018 at #HallesSaintGery. Here are the official photos.
#TatAMonumentInPink ends on August 16th in Brussels. You still have a few more days to admire the work in Brussels.
And then ?
Part of the work will be exhibited at the World Lace Congress in Bruges from August 18th to 19th.
After a little rest, @Canarithy Asbl will then do everything possible so that our collective work is reinstalled in other symbolic places across Belgium, Europe and the world so that a maximum of people can admire the fruit of the Union between tatting and sorority.
If you want to continue to follow the adventures of #TatAMonumentInPink and to inform you within the mission of the association: promote the women's rights through textile arts & crafts, I invite you to subscribe to the profile @Canarithy Asbl. The non-profit organization will continue to raise awareness towards public authorities so that one day, women can live decently of their art / textile crafts.

Après 9 mois de gestation, le bébé est né ce 10 août 2018 aux #HallesSaintGery. En voici les photos officielles.
#TatAMonumentInPink se termine le 16 août à Bruxelles. Il vous reste donc encore quelques jours pour admirer l'oeuvre à Bruxelles.
Et après ?
Une partie de l'oeuvre sera exposée au World Lace Congress à Bruges du 18 au 19 août.
Après un petit repos, @Canarithy Asbl fera ensuite tout son possible pour que notre œuvre collective soit réinstallée dans d'autres endroits symboliques à travers la Belgique, l'Europe et le monde afin qu'un maximum de personnes puissent admirer le fruit de l'Union entre la frivolité et la sororité.

Na 9 maanden zwangerschap is de baby op 10 augustus 2018 geboren op #HallesSaintGery. Dit zijn de officiële foto's.
#TatAMonumentInPink eindigt op 16 augustus in Brussel. Je hebt nog een paar dagen om het werk in Brussel te bewonderen.
En daarna?
Een deel van het werk zal worden tentoongesteld op het World Lace Congress in Brugge van 18 tot 19 augustus.
Na een beetje rust, zal @Canarithy Asbl haar best doen om onze collectieve werk te hervestigen in andere symbolische locaties in België, Europa en de wereld, zodat zo veel mogelijk mensen kunnen genieten van de vruchten van Unie tussen frivolite en zusterschap.
Als u wilt doorgaan met de avonturen van #TatAMonumentInPink te volgen en u op de hoogte als onderdeel van de missie van de vereniging: de rechten van vrouwen door de textiele kunsten, nodig u uit u te abonneren op de FB @Canarithy Asbl profiel. Maximum Wage was settling in nicely with everyone else, and even looked after all the little guys today while I caught up on some other work needing done.
When I came back in he was all excited telling me about the Formula 1 today from Suzuka in Japan, it turns out he's also a big Sebastian Vettel fan and loved the fact that he won and in doing so keeps himself in with an outside chance in the Drivers Championship against the Brawn GP drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello who are the only two names which stand in his way.
I brought some sweets and Irn-Bru downstairs once I had finished my work, Maximum Wage didn't know what to make of it as he hadn't seen it before, so I explained the history of the Scottish Soft Drink and the fact that it's "made from girders" etc, after which he said, "It must be cool if they can squeeze real girders into each can!!!"
After taking a few sips he was sold - check out the happy face and two big thumbs up for Irn-Bru.
(only problem is that this means even less for myself and Mireille now)

This photograph is for our camera club monthly project: January - "5 photographs on a theme of your choice" My theme is 'Looking Up' and this is photograph No. 3 in this series.
This photograph is of one of the 13 German manufactured 82 metre blade diameter Repower MM82 wind turbines (each rated at 2Mw maximum power output) at the Bicker Fen Wind Farm in Lincolnshire UK.
Apart from local environmental and health issues, you will see from the information below why I am not a fan of wind turbines for electricity generation, although they do make good subjects for photography.
For those of you that do not understand the sales pitch behind wind farms, these turbines usually develop their maximum rated power at around wind speeds of 14metres/second. Here in Lincolnshire, the average wind speed throughout the year is around 6 metres/second, and the seemingly attractive 2MW power output of the above turbine is reduced to about 350Kw, which is only 18% of what would have been projected when these turbines were 'sold' to the public. Therefore this wind farm at average wind speeds will produce less than 5Mw rather than the 26Mw that was projected when the wind farm was sent for local planning approval!!!!!!!

According to Wikipedia, Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde was a turbojet-powered supersonic passenger jet airliner that was operated until 2003. It featured a maximum speed over twice the speed of sound at Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 kmh at cruise altitude), with seating for 92 to 128 passengers. First flown in 1969, Concorde entered service in 1976 and continued commercial flights for 27 years. It is one of only two supersonic transports to have ever entered commercial service; the other was the Tupolev Tu-144, which ran for a much shorter period of time, before being grounded and retired due to safety and budget issues. Concorde was jointly developed and produced by Aérospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) under an Anglo-French treaty. Concorde's name reflects the development agreement between the United Kingdom and France. In the UK, any or all of the type—unusually for an aircraft—are known simply as "Concorde", without an article. In 2008, Hard Rock Park opened in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as the world's first rock n' roll theme park. Inside guests could explore the six different music themed areas. Highlights included Led Zeppelin - The Ride, a giant multi-inversion coaster, Eagles: Life in the Fast Lane, a mine train themed to the popular country group, Maximum RPM, a one of a kind coaster with a ferris wheel lift, and much more. Unfortunately, due to low attendance numbers and even lower profit, the park was forced into bankruptcy at the end of the 2008 season. In 2009, the park reopened as Freestyle Music Park until it once again closed later that year. As of February 2011, the park remains abandoned with the park's fate lying in court.
Maximum RPM was a first of it's kind coaster. Each of Mini Cooper shaped car would slowly load into place on a piece of track attached to a ferris wheel. The entire 'ferris wheel' mechanism would then rotate bringing the cars to the top of the coaster. While the ride did initially did have some trouble with a delayed opening, the coaster was a fantastic family addition to the park.

Sold in 2020 to Ponte Ferries Ltd and renamed HSC ARTEMIS for service between Malta and Italy.
"This one-off Pagani Zonda was the very last 760 edition of the Zonda made in 2016. The bespoke supercar is based on the 760 RS model and specially built for one of the big Pagani collectors. Unlike other special edition Zondas, this unique 760 has a unique design rear spoiler and was engineered by one of the world GT champions to generate the maximum downforce to give the ultimate grip on the circuit. The car was tested by the Toyota factory driver and GT500 champion Akira Iida on Fuji Speedway during the Pagani Raduno in Japan. Mr Iida commented the Zonda Oliver Evolution is the best handling and closest to the Zonda Evolution R road car he has ever driven..."

The flood waters at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve have reached the maximum height. This is normal winter flooding at the Preserve.
The water level of the Tualatin River has risen about 20 feet over the past few days. Other locations in Oregon have experienced flood that is not normal. But these lowlands, the Preserve, are Nature's way of holding water and slowly releasing it as the river level lowers.
