Holm received her dual PhD in materials science and engineering and scientific computing in 1992. She is a fellow of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society as well as a fellow of ASM International.

In April 1993 to mark the first anniversary of the Vigil members of Democracy for Scotland undertook a Destiny march. Members walked from Iona, Arbroath, Whithorn and Berwick to converge on Edinburgh on April 10th, the Vigil's first anniversary.
Democracy for Scotland was a non party political organisation. Following the Conservative Party victory in the 1992 General Election Democracy for Scotland maintained a constant vigil on Regent Road in Edinburgh near to old the Royal High School. This site was seen as the natural home of a Scottish Parliament. The vigil ended following the yes vote in the devolution referendum of 11th September 1997.
The Scottish Political Archive is housed at the University of Stirling. The archive is home to the oral interviews, personal papers and associated material from prominent Scottish politicians. i read somewhere online that these acrylicks were a favorite of a french painter, and when i found them at clas olsson (store and postorder/website), i thought i'd give it a try beside system 3 from downey &rowens.
i can easy change the colors as clas olsson has a large store downtown. just have to try them out first, don't i?
the set had another purpose, too, as it looks like i might be away from home after all in july. no trips preplanned, and both man and son working all summer trough, so the class was my summerholiday trip this year. now it looks like one of them get a week of vacation and do not want to spend the days at home (?) as every year before this.... well, i am prepeared! bring it on :-)

In 2008, a group of educators and artists formed the International Fiber Collaborative (IFC) a non-profit organization with a mission to create deeper learning experiences through art, collaboration, and cross-curricular programming for individuals and their communities.
IFC’s current initiative, The Dream Rocket Project, started in 2009 has exhibited submissions in over 105 venues; in 2014 submissions will be connected side by side to wrap a 363’ Saturn V Moon Rocket replica at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL (48’ taller than the Statue of Liberty).
With every artwork received a student has had to ask; what is my dream for my future, and the future of my community and our world? How can students across our nation with many skills collaborate to make a difference? How can creativity and other subjects such as space, technology, science, and leadership inspire innovation? How can I make a difference?

I read about this way of transferring designs and it really is an easy and effective method. All that is needed is a fresh (not older than 2 - 3 days) laser print out or photocopy - it does not work with inkjet printouts - an iron and the fabric. I backed the fabric with freezer paper to have a plan surface to iron-on the printout, put the image face down on the fabric and press the hot iron on it just like you would do with the "real iron-on transfers"...
