a1 mural piece thats been going on for about 3 years now, finally polished it off... for the time being. made up of handrawn stuff, wasted print outs, left overs, and generally anything that was within arms reach at the time
I was asked, so here’s how the Mashup for “Jumped The Shark?” was put together.
While I love “Glee”, I think it may have gotten too big for it’s britches. Too much stunt casting and less than worthy themes were getting in the way of telling the story of some “not the most popular” kids in high school dealing with life in a fantasy/musical comedy setting. So how to I express this in a “Flickr Twitter,” i.e. sharing a thought through an image?
I wanted to show “Glee” getting eaten by a shark. I looked all over for a shark sketch of a shark swimming horizontally with its mouth open. I couldn’t find any, so I settled for the great poster art for Spielberg’s “Jaws.” The poster’s swimming woman was erased and I replaced the word “Jaws” with “Glee’s” title logo using the correct “Glee” font (which I had found months earlier for another photo).
I wanted the image to be framed with black funeral bunting to symbolize the death of a series (ok, I’m being a bit premature). This was the toughest search, but I finally found this strange photo that just reached out to me. Of course I had to get rid of the woman with the crazy hair and change the colour of the velvet drapes to black, keeping the tassel’s gold colour. I also kept the photos “frame.”
Oh, let’s not forget that I had to resize, stretch and otherwise tweak most of the final components (my shark wound up being a bit fatter than the poster). Ain’t Photoshop wonderful? I certainly am learning to scratch its surface.

I don't remember how it happened but see the one in the middle? I spilled her beer. Actually I knoced it out of her hand. Had to buy her a new one.
I'll be honest when it's a little spill I look the other way but I couldn't not replace her drink. It was that bad. I'm a bit of a klutz. (Klutz is such a perfect word for what that is! It's almost an onomatopoeia, right?)

This is a mashup of two photos I took last weekend. The snow made it fairly easy to blend the two shots together. The background is part of a landscape panorama I shot just a couple of miles away from the used car lot where I shot the truck. Both scenes were captured the same day. Also, I shot the truck using an in-camera tilt-shift art filter. The background was blurred using Photoshop.

Ah man, I cut your head off! Not cool. I'm sorry about that. This shot looks better if you crop the boy out but doing that would make me feel worse.
Tudo leva a crer que o Eduardo curte os icônicos personagens Rocketter e Boba Fett (Star Wars), vai dizer?!
