Took a sunny afternoon walk through a forest path, enjoying the warm sun rays making their way through the trees and the splash of color the Maple Trees sport at the height of the autumn season!

I love the colours, textures and individuality of the leaves on our Japanese Maple tree.
The light and the wind make this an ever changing sight.
Tree On Fire....
Saturday Karen and I made our way to the south end of Heart Lake Conservation Area; The fall is a fickle time. some years the leaves changing colours are okay and others they don't change much at all. some years they last for a long time others a sudden storm and strong winds and its all over.
This is probably the last weekend for shooting fall colours in southern Ontario, the colour display is off the charts, so may varied shades of red, yellow and burnt orange.
As we were leaving the park we passed by this tree whose branches were bathed in sunlight and the red was ablaze with colour and light. this photo really captured the scene.

Melbourne has experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours are starting to appear.

I wanted to get out today and take some beautiful fall shots but ended with to many other distractions so I went through my archives instead. This image was taken last year.
It's been a couple of years since we've lived here, but whenever the fall season came around, I never missed driving through this park and forest area. I always enjoyed the colors so much. Hope you enjoy as well!

A Maple tree that could not take the stress of the wet, heavy snow we had just before Christmas.
Caught this shot on Saturday Morning, The Lighting Conditions were just right for this photo of a Cemetary and Church from under a Glorious Sugar Maple.
