A young Japanese maple tree's leaf (with another couple of them in the background in a new housing development in Kentucky, courtesy of one of our nephews and his gracious wife. More glorious detail is visible at the larger sizes.
Always so colorful this time of year. I very much enjoy the orange reddish colors of the maple leaves here in the yard.

There was construction going on not to far from this tree. I can only hope this beautiful tree will be left to shine for years to come!

The famous Japanese Maple at Portland Japanese Garden. Crazy to think it's been five or six years since I last visited. Things still look basically the same.
