i took this photo of a wall in my home town. i like this wall it is great. this photo was a bitch to take. it probably took me 10 minutes to get this focused and correct exposure. since i got my manfrotto tripod i dont take pictures during the day much. i feel its too easy. and at night you caan bring out elements not seen during the day. especially this wall.
shit doesnt look as sweet during the day.
Common greenshanks are brown in breeding plumage, and grey-brown in winter. When in water, they can appear very similar to marsh sandpipers but are distinguished by the shape of the lower bill which gives it an upturned appearance to the bill. They have long greenish legs and a long bill with a grey base. They show a white wedge on the back in flight. They are somewhat larger than the related common redshank. It´s a vagrant in Iceland and a new lifer for me species no. 155.
After getting a really cheap, plasticy and unstable Monopod i decided to spend some money on something that would be much better.
So when i one day went to my local photo store i found this excellent model, its super stable!, built like a tank and worth the price i paid!
So the lesson is if you find a cheap and crappy monopod dont waste your hard earned money on it! Get the stuff that may cost a little more but will make you feel SO much better!

Taken from Crow Park, looking directly south, towards Castle Crag, which clearly show in the centre of the picture, forming the "Jaws of Borrowdale".
Derwentwater (or Derwent Water) is one of the principal bodies of water in the Lake District National Park in north west England. It lies wholly within the Borough of Allerdale, in the county of Cumbria.
The lake occupies part of Borrowdale and lies immediately south of the town of Keswick. It is both fed and drained by the River Derwent. It measures approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) long by 1 mile (1.6 km) wide and is some 72 feet (22 m) deep. There are several islands within the lake, one of which is inhabited. Derwent Island House, an 18th century residence, is a tenanted National Trust property open to the public on five days each year.
Derwentwater is a place of considerable scenic value. It is surrounded by hills (known locally as fells), and many of the slopes facing Derwentwater are extensively wooded. A regular passenger launch operates on the lake, taking passengers between various landing stages. There are seven lakeside marinas, the most popular stops being: Keswick, Portinscale and the Lodore Falls, from which boats may be hired. Recreational walking is a major tourist activity in the area and an extensive network of footpaths exists within the hills and woods surrounding the lake.
The Keswick—Borrowdale road runs along the eastern shore of the lake and carries a regular bus service. There is a lesser, or unclassified, road along the western shore connecting the villages of Grange and Portinscale.
Derwentwater gave its name to the Earldom of Derwentwater.
The lake is believed to be the last remaining native habit of the vendace (Coregonus vandesius) fish from the 4 originally known sites: Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwent Water in the Lake District and the Castle Loch & Mill Loch in Lochmaben.
Here we see recycling is not new. The fishing hut has been made by turning an old fishing boat upsidedown, then cutting off one end, and adding a wall and a door.

Anche questa immagine, come quella precedente, farà parte del “reportage/racconto” che ho in preparazione dal titolo “L'Innocenza Rubata”.
Il bimbo ripreso si trova presso una casa di accoglienza per bambini maltrattati e purtroppo anche lui ha subito maltrattamenti dai genitori che lo obbligavano a chiedere l’elemosina per le strade e se a fine giornata non corrispondeva loro una somma prestabilita veniva picchiato e lasciato digiuno per punizione.
Adesso sta molto meglio si è avvicinato ad un ordine religioso la cui sua intenzione è quello di studiare diventare sacerdote per aiutare tanti bambini.
Volevo nuovamente rinnovare il mio più caloroso ringraziamento alle sempre cordiali tutrici che sono state gentilissime e affettuose di cui non mi stancherò di evidenziare l’amore con cui svolgono il loro impegno verso questi bimbi e un particolare ringraziamento anche e soprattutto a Suor Madre Serafina.

Even this picture, like the previous one, will be part of "reportage / story" I have in preparation entitled “Stolen Innocence”.
The child is taken up at a shelter for abused children and, unfortunately, he has been mistreated by their parents who forced him to beg on the streets and at the end of the day if they did not fit a set amount was beaten and left for fasting punishment.
Now it's much better approached in a religious order whose intention is to study to become a priest to help many children.
I again reiterate my warmest thanks to the always friendly tutor who were kind and affectionate that I shall continue to highlight the love with which they carry out their commitment to these children and a special thank you also and especially to Mother Sister Serafina.

My day on Sunday started at 4.00am on Sandymount strand, Dublin Bay, and ended up in the Wicklow Mountains at dusk.
I am finding Dublin bay really interesting as a location with its huge seascapes mixed with Dublin’s industry both modern and historical.
It is a location that needs planning since tides need to be right as do the weather conditions in order to get results (Getting up at 3.45 is not easy and I at least want a chance of a decent image) but it is a unique place on my doorstep.
Interesting to see the beach come alive as well, firstly with urban foxes chasing sea birds closely followed by clubbers arriving for coffee and sunrise about 6.00am.
I did not really get the photo I wanted this time but I like this. It is taken about 4.15am with the first trace of daylight in the eastern sky

Jamás ningún paisaje me ha dado tantas alegrías como el marjal, con salidas y puestas de sol legendarias y con fauna a raudales. Hoy es el día mundial de los humedales y no somos conscientes del tesoro que tenemos tan cerquita y que es la envidia de toda Europa.

99% of my images as handheld. In fact, the only shot I took with my tripod was a image of a mango.
I like to take too many macros for me to be handholding the camera, so I finally took out my tripod today
(dust included) and set it up outside to take some pictures of the garden. Before I could put the camera on the tripod, this yellow moth decided to use the tripod first. I could not leave the yard for equipment so I did my best to shoot this without him flying off before I captured him.
Next on my wishlist - macro lens.
