So, the amazing customiser Maxxie James made me this beautiful magic pumpkin to go with my Cinderella dolls. He'd known I'd always wanted a pumpkin and was kind enough to make this little beauty for me. It is beyond perfect! The vines and leaves are so beautiful, and it is painted down to the smallest detail. It even has a gold shimmer! I'm so in love with it! And best of all, it matches both the animated and live action dolls. This guy is beyond genius in his work. You need to check it out! www.flickr.com/photos/100710314@N02/

I feel so incredibly lucky to have received it! Thanks again!

Instagram Pier is a pier located on the waterfront of Sai Wan, Hong Kong. Originally a container terminal, the cargo dock has become a popular attraction and location for photographers. Instagram Pier is well known by the public because of its clear view of Victoria Harbour, a major tourist attraction of Hong Kong. In Instagram Pier, the view of the Hong Kong's skyline, sunsets, old lamp posts, caution barriers, cargo pallets, etc. can be captured.

We are creating a decorated frame for our Magic Theater, a mobile stage we built for our first puppet show, Ubu’s Dreams. We will premiere it during our Dada exhibit at the Canessa Gallery in North Beach, from Nov. 3 to 12, 2016.

Phyllis and Jean are creating the art for this Magic Theater frame, which includes an elegant marquee at the top and two columns on either side of the stage. Along with Mark, we are discussing different ways to decorate this frame: aluminum foil, cloth, wrapping paper -- and a variety of laser cut shapes from toy theater carvings to ‘pataphysical symbols.

The proscenium shape was designed by Fabrice Florin (a.k.a. Dr. Fabio), and is inspired by a marionette theater created by dada puppeteer Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Using a laser cutter, we carved this Illustrator design into thin sheets of birch plywood, and assembled them together with woodstrips and epoxy, clamped over a PVC frame.

This is one of the first creative projects we are starting in our new art studio. It’s turning out to be a great space to make art with friends and work on new ‘pataphysical projects.

I've been so busy since returning from WDW last week that I've barely looked at the photos I took while there but since most of the photos are fall/Halloween themed, I really need to get moving while they're still relevant!

This was around mid-night and it was quiet and peaceful on the street while the snow kept coming down in flurries. Magic.

Hi folks, My capture for the day is from the Carousel of Progress. Please view in fullscreen.

I spent delightful time with my friend Karolina. Spring is amazing, unfortunately is coming over summer which is good, but i prefer spring :) I'm very moody lately, and good memories makes me happier. I hope that better days will come soon...

Not my idea of a magic carpet but this Amberwing was enjoying the trip up Horsepen Bayou. I took a number of photos of Cupcake while I was out last week as he was quite cooperative and so I clicked the ol’ shutter at him a number of times. BTW, Cupcake is one very large gator and is every bit of 12 feet. Georgia gave he the name of cupcake the first time I showed him to her.

He was swimming downstream until we met and had a sort of standoff moment. I kept taking photos and he decided that he had had enough and turned tail and started to run. SURE!!! He actually started swimming away and so I followed him for quite a distance before I was distracted by one of my little Green friends. You’ll be seeing more shots of Cupcake in the future along with the Greenie. He was a good girl….ahhhh….boy and don’t tell him I said that!!

We are developing a ‘Magic Theater’ to experiment with new storytelling ideas, from shadow puppets to poetic robots. To support this program, I have built a mobile art cart where we can perform our shows, with the help of Geo Monley.

Mark ‘Spoonman’ Petrakis and I are starting with a shadow puppet play that we plan to perform during our Dada exhibit this fall at the Canessa Gallery in North Beach. Called ‘Ubu’s Dreams’, this shadow puppet show features Père Ubu, the hero of Alfred Jarry’s surreal plays at the turn of the last century. The premise is that Ubu is constantly dreaming, interacting with archetypal characters from our collective unconscious. Each of his dreams is a separate sketch in our play.
