The Magic Tree in Lee's Summit, MO has become one of the must-see Kansas City area attractions during the Christmas season. Most of the year, it's simply a tree, but at Christmas time it is adorned with thousands of LED Christmas lights.
It's 6:30 and still light!! Which meant I had time for a run after working on my shot for a while. Yes. It has come to working on weekends. Here's the conversation I had with the guard, who chased me into the building after my run:
Him: Are you done?
Me: Running?
Him: Yes.
Me: Forever?
Him: Today.
Me: Do you mean am I going to go running a second time today? No.
Him: Well, whenever you do, you have to let us know. We have to protect the Magic.
Me: The Magic?
Him: Yeah! We can't protect you when you leave the premises.
I learned several things. I am considered "magic." Not magical, as in having magical powers. Only magic. I also learned that I'm not supposed to come and go on the weekend without notifying the Keepers of the Magic. And finally that some people go running several times a day, apparently.
Who knew?

The Magic Cape and Hat
This Magic Hat and Cape are handcrafted in blue felt using a gorgeous and fun touch in the inside . I also used silk dread for the embroidery, cotton linning in rainbow polka dots pattern, embroidered in the endings with yellow stars using silk thread , embroidering magical stars all over the cape and hat by hand and the final touch a magical yellow pompon at the top of the hat. It closes with a metallic snap.
The hat attaches securely to the head with a hairclip wich is included.

The lake at the bottom of the glacier is full of little icebergs. what a magic place. ice sculptures have been stranded on the beach. just like glass.

Magic Fairy: A favorite from Grimm's Fairy Tale, this lantern display showcases kind-hearted Cinderella who falls in love with the handsome prince thanks to the help of a fairy.
(I'm not sure how it can feature Cinderella with just the fairy and butterflies, but whatever. The next display was an all-LED spinning slipper, which I couldn't get to stay in focus for some reason.)
