hoverfly on a black-eyed susan

When I took this shot, I hardly noticed that the tongue thingy was out. hehehe It was just too quick and too small to be seen.

A butterfly must have a gentle touch.....

This one was taken with the snappy snap Sony. Wish I had the Nikon with me to get in closer. I love the purple. You can see on the right hand leaves how the frost is growing sideways with the wind.

this is the bud that turns into the yellow ball flower in the photo below (busy bee)

Berry Bokeh (#2 of 2) Same box of cranberry vines, but with different light & angle. Liked the abstract quality of this one, so he joins Mr. Cold ♄ in my stream today.

Last Blast of Color: Since I'm going colorless for the entire month of April, I thought I'd post one more bokeh bloom featuring some out-of-this-world color. And you know these are San Fran flowers, because they brought hats in case of rain. :)

Cool Thing of the Day: There's a new weekly series, "From The Edge", premiering tonight on The Weather Channel (yes, TWC) featuring acclaimed fine art landscape photographer Peter Lik as he travels the world capturing the most amazing shots. Finally a show for us. :)
