This frame was shot right before queen alerted on me. I hadn't even noticed that this female was going into alert mode. You can tell by her wings being lifted and her body is raised from nest.

It's raining here in Daet, Camarines Norte the whole day.. so we weren't able to get a good opportunity to shoot in Bagasbas beach.. too bad, today is the opening for an international surfing competition... and everything's dark and cloudy!

 

Fortunately, there's still this little fella to shoot!. now, I'm satisfied!... sorry, I'm that shallow!..lol..

Megacerus discoidus bug on a morning glory. This funny looking insect has antlerlike antennae and a white butt with a smiley face on it. I find it frequently in summer on whitish pink morning glory flowers in my neighborhood.
