Just had to get this poor Bee out of a puddle,as he was flat on his back with nothing but water around him.He is now back on his feet in a lovely dry flowerpot.He was very near to death.Better viewed large.
This spiders (jumpers or Salticidae) are fond of using leaves as their home. In this case a palmera behind the parking lot of MCUFDTMF (where I teach and practice) showed a lot of folds and whoaaa this jumper was inside resting in his cozy home !

This week’s Macro Mondays Theme dice or dices, from simple to mystery, from hand held to tripod, from small aperture to large aperture, different number of dices, from reflection from the kitchen light , to a torch and some reflections, from second light to reflected disco mirror and some more variations, a total of maybe 40 photos, 2 sets with minor modifications, reduced to 4 at flicker, and finally tomorrow on Monday, only one to Macro Mondays
Front row green blue and red, rear row red blue and green, some slight change in color to change of light and metering.

Happy Scarlet Sunday! From early September, this stately & pristine coneflower was still flaunting his early Fall best, thinking he could work it for another two months. If only he knew what was right around the corner...he'd have spent less time posing & been out shopping for a warm scarf & mittens.

Speaking of frost--we don't have any! Yay! Chicago is in the middle of a short-but-sweet Indian Summer, with temps this weekend above 70°F...in November! And it is supposed to last through Monday!
