Essa lagarta sempre nasce de ovos postos nos pés de manacá cheiroso cujas folhas são seu único alimento.
These caterpillars are found in a tree named "manacá- cheiroso" - "brunfelsia grandiflora".
Looking thru my folders, I realized I had collected several pics of Rudbeckia (Black-Eyed Susans, Brown-eyed Susan, Irish Eyes) over the last 12 months or so. So I present to you a floral foursome of these eye-popping beauties. :)

God is a God of details, the more I see, the more I want to praise Him!
Psalms 34:1-10
1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
I worked on more macros and I got some success in focusing yesterday! I put the camera in closeup mode and pasm setting, then I used a 5x magnifier like jeweler's use on the end of my lens and then I put the camera on a small tabletop tripod. Then I got right on top of the subject, like 6-10 mm away. Natural sunlight. I was thrilled to make a macro w/o a macro lens or mode on my camera.
Thanks to Merlin who encouraged me to do this! He has the same kind of camera and gets great macros. Merlin, this one's for you! ;o) Here's one of his that made Explore!

This tiny damselfly went straight to me, to land on my arm. I guess it wanted me to shoot a quick portrait.
Ce tout petit Ceriagrion a foncé sur moi pour se poser sur mon bras. Je pense qu'il voulait que je lui tire le portrait.
Six-legged Beauty...Adult butterflies and moths eat only various liquids to maintain their water balance and energy stores. Most adults sip flower nectar, but other imbibe fluids from sap flowers on trees, rotting fruits, bird droppings, or animal dung. Many adult butterflies are found drinking fluids at wet sand or mud, especially along stream courses or the edges of dirt roads or trails.

Shot exactly 2 months ago today on an overcast day, I remember thinking, 'what's with this crappy weather?' Do you think I angered someone upstairs? I mean, I obviously took notice of this purple beauty, so I'm in the clear, right? Why are you slowly backing away?
Happy Perfect Purple Saturdays! :)

It's interesting to compare this species with my previous upload.
Très intéressant de comparer cette espèce avec la précédente dans ma galerie.
First attempt at catching a water drop. Camera set to ISO 1600, 1/1250, shutter priority.
This was a single drop of blue food coloring into water. Lighting was from two natural light compact fluorescent bulbs with reflectors. Slight PS post processing.
If you can share any secrets on how to make this easier - please do!
