Berries: Not sure what kind of berries grew on this tree, but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have eaten a big handful of them. Oooooooooh. :(

Note: Why do I love the 24-70mm f/2.8L so much I give it its very own pillow? Because it's so versatile—I used it to take the wide angle beach shot from yesterday, and this macro shot today. Such an amazing piece of glass.

Not really sure what Ms. Loren meant by the above quote, but being as I'd still watch her read the Yellow Pages at 94 years old, she can do whatever she wants. So you go on, Sophia--make up silly quotes...we still love you.

Captured this amazing technicolor bloom back in August during this same shoot.

Interesting facts about wasp... In some species, just the wasp queen and male wasps can mate, whilst the majority of the colony is made up of sterile female workers.

Food Month Is Almost Over! Are you guys full yet? Only one more day after today! What am I going to do next month? More importantly, what am I going to do with all this leftover food? Oh, I'm just kidding...I ate it all. :(

Microwave Popcorn: On the weekends, once we have our itemized list of errands completed, we like to get back into bed with fresh popcorn & watch old movies. OK, that's a lie...it's usually mindless (but addictive) reality TV like "Jersey Shore" we're watching. :)

Things I ♥ Month Continues! I said in my "20 Things About Me" that I loved the transportive quality of music...but you know what's even better than that? How about actually being transported while you are being moved melodically? Which is why I love my...

XM Satellite Radio: How can you not love 130+ channels of singing along in the car at the top of your lungs? I know I do! Oh, c'mon now—you know you do, too...I saw you sitting in traffic, belting out the theme to "Cats"...OK, fine, deny it.

It's Fall Fungi Friday! (#3 of 3)

I ♥ mushrooms. Raw, steamed, fried, sauteed...it doesn't matter. I could eat 'shrooms every day. Of course, that quickly changes when you hear them referred to as 'fungus'. That kind of does a number on my appetite. And my stomach. Uh-oh...brb.

red milkweed beetles on a milkweed leaf

While walking to the pond this swallowtail fell out of the tree right in front of me. He had just hatched and was trying to climb to a place in the sun to dry his wings! I helped him onto an azalea bush where he stayed for several hours. What a wonderful experience this was!!!!
