One of the advantages of the tiny sensors in mobile phones (and digital compact cameras) is that the incredibly wide angle lenses are easy to get to focus at very close distances, which allows pretty decent quality macro shots (not to mention the increased depth of field which is kinder to the innaccurate focussing mechanisms. Here's one of Jack. Also see blog.remez.com/2007/03/21/mobile-macro-magic/

Macro photography takes my breath away because I enter a never seen before world. A world of colours, expressions, contrasts and detail that I will enjoy exploring with my new lens.

yes. my beautiful office is an absolute mess right now. this spot here is where a lot of the "macro magic" happens. right smack in the middle of the floor!

The music like water-

I want to find your texture

under water

in the darkest night

with my hands open

like the blind,

who can move on a current of breath.

It's my strange luck

to know the difference between tears

and rain; morning's dampness,

in black pools where the moon rests

and rainbows rise.

morning shot on our garden adenium collection

A bee caught by a spider.

Messing with flowers, a macro lens and my Kenko extension tubes...

Chilly this morning waiting for it to warm up ... The sun is out so it will soon..

This fellow is waiting for it to warm up as well..
