Tagged along the melbourne meetup group on their macro magic meet at the Royal Botanic Gardens and here is one of my macro shots..
One of the advantages of the tiny sensors in mobile phones (and digital compact cameras) is that the incredibly wide angle lenses are easy to get to focus at very close distances, which allows pretty decent quality macro shots (not to mention the increased depth of field which is kinder to the innaccurate focussing mechanisms. Macro photography takes my breath away because I enter a never seen before world. A world of colours, expressions, contrasts and detail that I will enjoy exploring with my new lens.
