This 1969 catalog describes the versatile Unimat "Universal Machine Tool" and accessories. This 5-in-1 machine can be a universal drill press, precision metal lathe, polisher/grinder, vertical mill, and surface grinder. Very cool tool!!!
Ajax milling machine: as bought, ready for restoration.This would originally have been a horizontal mill, but a previous owner converted it to vertical (and added a power feed to the table). Not elegant to look at, but a rock solid conversion.
Bulroc drill tubes are produced from high quality seamless pipe. Thread protectors are fitted to both pin and box ends of all Bulroc drill tubes that are finished with a protective surface coating. Bulroc also produce Combined Cased Drill Tubes which are required when drilling large diameter holes with relatively small diameter drill tubes, using air as a flushing medium.

Remains of a Redlands, California wind machine.
The orange grove once protected by this particular wind machine has long been gone, yet the giant fan remains.
This one looks to be powered by a V-8 truck engine, complete with transmission and driveshaft.
