I usually do the blanket stitch by hand but found I liked doing it on the machine. I am so glad I tried it. Now I need to practice, practice, practice. And that means more projects in my future :-) Thanks Pat! At least I am not afraid anymore to do it on the machine.
Bone Machine was a fixed gear criterion bicycle race in an industrial area of north Portland.
Competitors raced on a closed course on bicycles with no brakes and no ability to coast -- track bikes.
The races were part of a weekend of events, including bike polo, Goldsprints and a Chrome-sponsored alleycat.
This machine made art. You picked out two pieces of paper from a bin (lots of random bits, from magazines to lottery tickets) fed them into the machine, turned the crank, and a then a few minutes later a piece of art would pop out.

I used a gritty black and white process to bring out the texture of this machine and the oil and grease that generated its use. I found it outside an old mill in Holyoke, MA
