The dog was running round looking for it's lost ball but only found the secret island that normally hides beside Godrevy lighthouse.

🌿 **Lost Swamp** 🌿 - The Echo of Shadows
Beneath the still mist, the trees whisper and the water reflects forgotten stories.
A sanctuary of calm, photography, and inspiration, where every moment seems to belong to another time.

For “Macro Mondays” group theme “Corner”.
A rather quickly taken hand-held shot of just over a 1 inch corner of a battered copy of a 'The Daily Missal' printed in 1936 and long discarded.
The pages are discoloured, the red-gold edges worn, the silk bookmarks rather tattered and the black cloth cover bent and cracked. I picked up this copy from a box scheduled for landfill - thought it looked interesting and might make an object to photograph.
Who bent over the corners of the pages - not I ! Was there a significance at the text so marked - Luke Chaper 15 and parts of verses 1 - 10 - the parable of the farmer's one lost sheep from his herd of 100? Who knows!
Looking back the first entry I made for 'Macro Mondays' was five years ago, and the topic was 'Corner'.

An diesem wunderschönen, alten Hof, bin ich schon oft vorbei spaziert. Diesmal habe ich mich auch getraut ein Foto zu knipsen.
Lost in Rome. We went for what we thought was just going to be a 5 minute walk to check out our surroundings at our hotel. Before we knew it, we were criss-crossing the Tiber River time and again and fast losing the light. I snapped this with my little canon ixus as it got darker and we crossed the river for the umpteenth time...
"I think I am close now, but I can't see that temple!"

What do you think about the whole creation?
Shell of a building in the ghost town of Rhyolite, just east of Death Valley.

At first I had reservations about photographing the beggar alone. I didn't want to take advantage of his situation and act against my principles. But when the lady next to him entered the stage, everything changed. She stood for maybe everything the beggar did not have: wealth, happiness and the chocolate side of life. This contrast between the two people gave the photo a socially critical expression.
Through this contrast, a message is conveyed to the viewer. The photo shows that life is not fair and that there is a gap between people that cannot always be overcome. It challenges the viewer to think about social conditions and to show solidarity with those who are on the worse side.
Art is also communication. It is not only about visual appeal, but also about making a statement. Contrasts are a powerful tool to create meaning in an image and convey a message. This is exactly what I wanted to show with this photo, which I took in Aix-en-Provence in France in the summer of 2017.
