Embedded into its frame since it's birth back in 1957as CNR 4598, CN GP9RM 4129 still have working holes designed for pole switching, an long gone art back in the days when railroading was still called railroading.

I had to get down pretty low for this shot. I was the only one about early in the morning on the boardwalk.
Mount Etna is an active volcano on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, in the Province of Catania. It lies above the plate margin between the African Plate and the Eurasian Plate. It is the tallest active volcano on the European continent, currently 3,329 m high, changing at eruption times.
Etna covers a very big area of 1,190 km2 with a basal circumference of 140 km.
During foggy and misty days it offers a moon like feeling with the impression of easily getting lost between its hills and valleys.
As I climb higher, the clouds descend and completely shroud the summit of Glas Tulaichean. Normally I would give this up and wait for a better day, but as we're soon moving away this is my last chance to gain the 10% of Munro's bagged.
Glas Tulaichean is my 5th Munro of the season and the 28th in total, bringing me to a Munro completion rate of near enough 10%. The mountain stands at 1051 meters (3448 feet) and is the last one I will do as I have now moved away from Scotland and back to my roots in South Yorkshire as the pull of the Grandchildren was just too strong.

I see lots of other companies engines on the BNSF Line in Flagstaff. Perhaps they have been acquired, and just not re painted. I've been in Flagstaff a lot this summer. I have lots of train photos. lol

Each Saturday before Thanksgiving, I pass this site on my way to a large arts/craft show and it reminds me that sixty years ago as a young lad, it was a common sight to see the rear end of my dad's striped bib overalls sticking out from under the hood of our old pickup or from the carcass of one of our ancient tractors. He passed that fix-it yourself skill on to most of his 5 boys but today's technology has made working on your own car or tractors a lost art.
