I went around Twillingate today with my family. It was a nice day, we didn't get to see any icebergs but the weather was great and we got some lobster on the way back home.
These lobster traps sit at the top of the hill, at the entrance to the path that goes down to the Cape d'Or Lighthouse.
Naked Lobster Roll: absolutely delicious. Lobster meat was not as fresh as can be, but the bread was superb. Drawn butter and mayo on the side. Lobster Shack

Columbus Lobster Dinner Cruise is one of Cancun’s most famous night tours. It is a tranquil trip through the romantic and mild waters of the Nichupte Lagoon on our Spanish Galleon Columbus. The trip has been especially planned to share magic moments with that loved person… the lagoon would never reveal the secrets kept in this trip as in the heart of each other. Delicious surf n’ turf or lobster dinner with the finest wine is completed with the sweet notes of a saxophone.

This dude (American crayfish?) crossed my way when I walked back home on the Dwarskade in Nootdorp. It is approximately 20 cm long. A cyclist passing by explained that this year there are many of these seen in our waters in and around The Hague - Ypenburg.
A plague, maybe?
I got out to Lobster Head from Rocky Harbour right about sunset. It's
amazing that they built this lighthouse such that it would align between
me and the sun on the day I arrived. I came back later that night to
see the stars from there. At one point I thought I could see the aurora,
but it was just the light from the lighthouse reflecting off some clouds
in the distance (or maybe Labrador).

I came home to discover that the Costco run included lobster tails. I blame this on the dinner my parents went to a couple weeks back.
Note: I wasn't complaining.

Mom cooked a lobster feast for her & I & Carl last night, and sent me home with a lovely bowlful of lobster meat, which I turned into a fabulous lobster salad. Delicious on stoned wheat crackers.

Professor Jeff Shields retrieves a female lobster from its tank at the Seawater Research Lab at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Part of a National Sea Grant College Program study led by Emily B. Rivest and Jeff Shields at Virginia Institute of Marine Science to see how lobster eggs and larvae respond to ocean acidification and warmer waters.
Although the lobsters being studied are from Maine and Massachusetts, some lobsters can be found in Virginia waters. March 11, 2021 (Photo by Aileen Devlin | Virginia Sea Grant)

FALL RIVER, MA — In a major — and unexpected — victory for the climate movement, the criminal charges against two men who used a lobster boat to block a massive coal shipment were dropped this morning.
In May 2013, Ken Ward and Jay O’Hara used a little white lobster boat, the Henry David T, to block a shipment of 40,000 tons of coal to the Brayton Point Power Station in Somerset, MA, the largest coal plant in New England. They were charged with conspiracy, disturbing the peace and motor vessel violations and faced up to several years in jail.
The Bristol County District Attorney, Sam Sutter, dropped the conspiracy charges and reduced the other charges to civil infractions this morning, saying that he saw the need to take leadership on climate change. He called climate change “one of the gravest crises our planet has ever faced” and told a cheering crowd that he would join them at the People’s Climate March in New York City in two weeks.
Day 5: Hofn in Iceland is famous for its lobsters. We sampled the local delicacy - freshly caught lobsters, roasted in garlic butter served with herbs.
Un-believ-ably delicious.
