a landmark in Clinton CT. I think one of 2 rolls I have shot of very old 126 film...forgot the age of this but likely from the 70s...amazing to me to have gotten these results and I do prefer the blue color cast to orange or brown found in other films
Tested my ability to zoom by grabbing this shot of a weathervane high atop a building on Martha's Vineyard. So much more appropriate than a rooster, right? Pretty sure he'll be able to stay safe and evade the lobster boil up there.

Crail is a historic fishing village in the pretty East Neuk of Fife.
Charming cobbled streets tumble down to the miniature harbour, which is sheltered by cliffs and surrounded by historic fishing cottages. Crail is a historic fishing village on the East Neuk of Fife coast and is well worth a visit.
Visitors flock to the harbour front for a lobster or an ice cream and a stroll to see the fishing boats or to simply explore the timeless wynds within the village. In the summer, the Crail Food Festival is a treat for the senses.

The lobster moth or lobster prominent (Stauropus fagi) is a furry grey-brown, red-brown or green-brown moth (wingspan 50 to 70 mm) that looks nothing like a lobster. The English name refers to the remarkable lobster-like appearance of the caterpillar.
The caterpillars of the lobster moth are bizarre: the last body segment is swollen and has two long wires instead of legs.
When it feels threatened the swollen body parts are held over the rest of the body, the head is lifted and the animal shows his very long front legs. The general colour is reddish brown and if in its resting position provides perfect cryptic camouflage. The larvae can grow to a length of 70 mm.
The lobster moth is found across most of Europe and temperate Asia to Japan. This moth inhabits deciduous woodland at altitudes between sea level and about 1000m.

Flame lobsters (Enoplometopus antillensis) are very hard to find, especially during the day (as in maybe 1 every 150 dives). When you have the rare occasion to find one, they either are tucked too deep into the coral to get an image or immediately crawl into an inaccessible spot, giving you only a brief glimpse.
But this one fortunately chose a relatively shallow crack with a sufficiently wide opening. It tried to back away, but it "ran" into a wall, allowing a clean shot and at eye-level as an added bonus. In short, I doubt I will get an image of another flame lobster that I like better.
They are apparently prized in the aquarium trade because of their bright color and small size (they are about 10cm long). I prefer to see them in the wild. They are a thrill to find and incredibly beautiful with their bright red and white streaks. (A red lobster that hasn't been cooked!)

More shots from the roll of Fomapan with the white speckles issue. I also got bromide drag on the roll when developing (although that isn't the fault of the film, and I managed to correct the worst of it in post-processing), which is something I've not encountered with previous semi-stand development sessions.

For the first time the world's largest rock lobster exporter has put all deliveries on hold, as Lunar New Year celebrations are cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak in China.
Key points:
•The Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative has mandated a halt on deliveries as Chinese buyers cancel orders amid the coronavirus breakout
•Rock lobster prices plummeted overnight to $0 a kilogram — but WA locals aren't set to benefit from cheap crayfish prices
•The industry, which has 11 months left to fill its quota, is not set to feel much impact at this point
Lobster Exports Plummit
Despite strong prices for western rock lobster earlier in the week, the Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative — which controls more than 60 per cent of WA's rock lobster catch — mandated a halt to deliveries after a sharp drop in demand caused prices to fall dramatically.
Chinese New Year is a peak time for the fishery, with lobsters a main feature at banquets and celebrations.
Traditionally prices soar, but instead prices across the board were placed at zero dollars per kilogram as a signal that trading must stop.

Before I even began contemplating being a vegetarian, I remember as a child looking at the struggling lobsters and other trapped fish in these holding cells at markets and restaurants and I remember feeling so sad and identifying with these writhing beings, struggling in anguish at this point of their futile existence. And I remember thinking….is this life? And we are just supposed to eat them? I found out much later when I was in my 20s that I was allergic to most seafood, not that it mattered. I think I might also be little allergic to suffering. It seems to impact me in a different way than other people. It’s hard for me to breathe just thinking about all of the pain world wide.
So, I see this little girl clutching her stuffed animal with this look of shock, revelation, and revulsion on her face and, though this is far from a perfect photograph in many ways, I can so relate to that look.
When I was seven or eight, I also visited Red Lobster for the first time in my life. My mom, a seafood fanatic at the time (she’s now a vegetarian), really felt like if I just tried it, I would like it. But, I saw that lobster and locked myself in the bathroom, having the first panic attack of my life. That existential dread was going nowhere and I refused to come out until she promised to take me home. I rarely ever “got my way” when I was a child but my mom figured out pretty quickly that she didn’t want to visit me several years later as a seriously malnourished 30 year old, eating only crumbs of biscuits other restroom goers were willing to feed me every now and then.

This mural presents us with a very rare blue lobster. It certainly catches the eye and is a fine piece of work by the artist. I was also struck by the geometric patterns of the factory wall and shadows. However, I'm not quite sure a "blue" lobster sends the best message about the quality of the seafood.
Anyone remember the heavy metal band Blue Öyster Cult? Perhaps this one represents the Blue LÖbster Cult.
Blue Öyster Cult was certainly an interesting creation that featured a unique alchemical symbol:
"The hook-and-cross logo was designed by Bill Gawlik in January 1972, and appears on all of the band's albums. In Greek mythology, '... the hook-and-cross symbol is that of Kronos (Cronus), the king of the Titans and father of Zeus ... and is the alchemical symbol for lead (a heavy metal), one of the heaviest of metals.' Sandy Pearlman considered this, combined with the heavy and distorted guitar sound of the band and decided the description 'heavy metal' would be apt for the band's sound. The hook-and-cross symbol also resembled the astrological symbol for Saturn, the Roman god of agriculture, and the sickle, which is associated with both Kronos (Cronus) and Saturn (both the planet and the Roman god). The logo's '... metaphysical, alchemical and mythological connotations, combined with its similarity to some religious symbols gave it a flair of decadence and mystery ...'"
