When most people in the U.S. think of lobster the state of Maine comes to mind. Florida also has a lobster season although for a totally different species, the clawless spiny lobster.

Lobster eggs! When lobster eggs hatch, the babies float near the waters surface for 4-6 weeks. After that, they settle to the ocean floor and develop into baby lobsters, like the ones found in NOAA's Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary!

For the 3 day weekend I decided to go to Caye Caulker in Belize.

And had a few last meals.

Like this delicious lobster with mango and papaya sauce.

Just seeing it again makes me want another one.

Unfortunately starting yesterday I am in a 9 day diet, with only fruits, vegetables, boiled rice as food :(

Para mi fin de semana de 3 dias, decidi irme de paseo a Caye Caulker en Belize.

Y tener varias ultimas cenas.

Como esta deliciosa langosta asada acompañada de salsa de mango y papaya.

Solo verla de nuevo en foto, me hace desear comerme otra igual

Pero desafortunadamente, empezando ayer, me tienen a dieta por 9 dias, a pura fruta, verdura y arroz hervido :(

Baby lobsters photographed at the hatchery in Amble, Northumberland. They're pretty cute. Apparently they have to keep the currents in the water swirling around otherwise the baby lobsters start chomping on one another!

Lobster fishing boats were tied up in the harbour in Grande Anse, NB after a morning of fishing in the Bay Of Chaleur.

Moth Trapping has been really fruitful this year with a good range of species!
