Day Nine
Incorporating journaling...hmm. I tend to have a lot of extra pictures of us from all the crazy adventures we go on and I thought this would be a fun one to work with.
I'm not crazy that nearly all my layouts this load are looking similar in layout, but what can I expect using mostly 2" x 3" pictures and a format that's only 6.5" x 11"?
The title says [vertically] "starring j & k in:" and [horizontally] "SELFIES"

i had some scraps of ribbon and fabric sitting on my table from a wreath i made...worked perfect here. just some bits glued down and some flowers i made...i am very into the flowers. There is a second page to this layout that has the title and journalling, but it is just 6 photos that completely cover the page. Needed fast and easy.

Load est le 6e album studio du groupe de heavy metal Metallica.
Cet album était très attendu, après l'énorme succès du Black Album en 1991 et des 5 tournées mondiales qui suivirent. Les fans de la première heure furent cependant déçus car Metallica, durant son absence, avait changé d'orientation musicale (l'album fut jugé beaucoup moins "metal" que les précédents). Le changement de look du groupe reçut également un accueil mitigé, notamment leurs cheveux beaucoup plus courts.

This was really hard but i got 'er done with no two products from the same manufacturer. While the captain of the ship loads cargo into the interior cargo hold, the robotic arms on the side of the ship lift the rest of the cargo onto the carbo bay on top of the ship.
The removing of the pile of topsoil from behind the shop gets under way with the first load ready to tram.
This full load will require the use of the Handwhich to pull it up the grade from Creekside.
PROTIP- loading Kodachrome in the dark doesn't give you any more frames because they splice the rolls together.
On a quest for more behind-the-scenes photos, I was drawn to the stage where crew members were working diligently on the load-in. During load-in, crew members unload and set up the 2010 Festival lighting equipment. Glimmerglass Opera rents these materials, so every year when the lights arrive they must be carefully mounted on battens and suspended high above the performers. Hard hats were required for everyone working in the area, so I grabbed a bright orange hard hat marked "visitor" and went to work. I was lucky to have enough light to capture this photo of Brian Quiricone, an electrics intern. He used a lift to follow these cables high above the stage, securing them along the way.

Inspiration from the Vera Bradley ad...I rotated the page 90 degrees to the left.
I feel like I should have more journaling on this page...but I didn't know where to put it. I know the background is super busy, but I am glad I got these photos scrapped.
I used vellum to act like the tape in the ad, was a little more subtle than the tissue tape I have on hand.

8417 and a KCS 2nd out lead train CNAMCNM on the Ottumwa Sub between Beckwith and Lockridge IA on a Sunday afternoon.
Tractor and immense load was seen on road to Vulture Peak at Rajagriha, India where the Buddha taught the Heart Sutra. Here, this huge load symbolizes the heavy load of karma we all drag around behind us; our accumulated outbursts of anger and hate, our unending selfish desires, our ignorance, pride, jealousy, hypocrisy and on and on. The Buddhist path teaches us to become mindful of our thoughts, words and actions and tune into and act from our basic goodness. The Buddha said we can do this, that he wouldn’t give us something to do that we couldn’t do.

what a cool idea to find some inspiration...when u type in katie...you get dolls? There were some super cute doll bunny slippers and that led me to make an Easter page. i started by making an Easter bunny that looked like the slippers, but after i created the page he wasnt quite right, so i made 2 pages, so he would fit in.
i used up10 photos. By the way great wolf lodge is faboo, we've been many times.
