Re-enactors of the 3rd Maine Regiment Volunteer Infantry load gear and supplies onto a Kennebec Central Mixed Train in the station area at Alna Center, Maine, during the June, 2024 "Road to Togus" event at the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum. Although not historically accurate, because the Kennbec Central was not built until well after the Civil War, the re-enactors were present at this event to emphasize the connection between the KCRR and the National Soldiers Home in Togus, Maine, where hundreds of Civil War veterans lived out the rest of their lives in retirement.

Glad this load of building blocks didn't fall from the truck (as it went round the roundabout) when I was there!
Oddly the blocks were gone when I returned from work some 8 hours later.

Not a lot of time today, so i needed a quick page. It's Emily's 13 th bday, so we have shopping, lunch, presents, ice skating a sleepover, making a sushi cake, and grandparents in town. i had to use a pic of her of course, and i loved the colors of the notebook. Made some flowers and wah-la!

Taken just prior to boarding, in this shot Lynxbus Optare Tempo number 5 YJ55 BKU is seen whilst working the above service 35 journey. The location is the bus stop opposite Thaxters in Dersingham which is more or less the halfway point on the timetable, give or take a minute. As is to be expected the interior of this vehicle was spotless and it provided a comfortable ride to Lynn and back. It will be interesting to see how things develop, but if the loadings observed on the first day were anything to go by, the Lynxbus operation should prove to be a great success. Monday 26th January 2015 marked the first day of service operations for newly formed Lynxbus of King’s Lynn.
