A unique " self-collage" TM comprising cannibalized snippets from previous drawings, assembled into one collage and hand-finished over 3 weeks in February / March.
Quite possibly a novel contribution to the over 100 yr old collage genre. # Hannah Hoch # John Heartfield
I have found the other Torrey/Wheeler award winner to go with "Sing in Praise!"
“Sing Mother Goose,” another wonderful collaboration between author Opal Wheeler and artists Majorie Torrey. Copyright 1945, by E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc.
“My Poetry Book, an anthology of modern verse for boys and girls,” arranged by Grace Thompson Huffard and Laura Mae Carlisle in collaboration with Helen Ferris. Published by The John C. Winston Co., copyright 1934, reprinted 1950. Illustrated by Willy Pogany.
Hooray! My package of new pens and pencils arrived so I just HAD to play with them. Inspired by Carolyn's "Sleepytime Tanlges" I tested out what the Pigma pens can do on a small tile.
Some of the tangles/variations used (that I know the names of): Mumsy, Sooflowers
Zebra Print Ankle Buckle Shoes - This week I've been a shoe designer :-)

My amazing Mum died last month at age 98, she had an incredibly full and exciting life and we all miss her greatly.

After getting back from a long weekend drive up the coast, I discovered urbanspinner's tangles and wanted to do a tile using only these. I love the way Lichen has emerged, but Banners was a failure (I know what went wrong so next time I can get it right). Dervish was a healthy challenge, and Versailles is so pretty.
