Final page of a 4-page adventure I drew that appeared in the 5th edition of the Motorheadbangers fanzine, thirty years ago.

In Ella Clocksin's class today we were working on how we use visual memory in drawing. In this exercise we drew flowers we knew well completely from memory. We had to close our eyes and draw them without looking at the page using a technique called Blind Contour Drawing.

I can still remember working on this piece with Paul Hadwen at the flat in Leeds back in 1981. Paul took the left hand side, I took the right.

If I lost a bit of weight this would likely be more accurate, but I still like it. I'm left handed, but this was done completely with a mouse, using my right hand.

I hate the way the colours go dead when I export out of photoshop.

Line drawing tracing of an Italian postal delivery vehicle (or so I'm guessing). Done with ArtStudio, an iPad app that I'm learning to use and like.
