Having discovered urbanspinner's tangles, I wanted to see how I could apply a few of them using colour (seeing as the colour samples are so amazing). Also used here is Reticulated by skinnystraycat.

From Carla Sonheim's online class, Imaginary Creatures. The assignment was to draw an animal using one continuous line. I then embellished him using digital scrapbook paper. I just don't seem to have the time to get out my watercolors and color pencils.

This is a detail of a drawing I completed on Monday.

where san francisco county jail was a gluttony of paper, santa clara county jail's medium security dorms had almost no paper or writing utensils for inmates. you got one 3-inch long pencil every week and paper has to be bought from 'commissary'.
