This was a fun find for Macro Mondays group's "Book" theme: "Betty Crocker's New Picture Cook Book" from 1961. It's chock full line art, such as the one above. Some additional illustrations: flic.kr/p/2oFeLgu and flic.kr/p/2oFaYuo
It amazes me how a few simple lines from this station of the cross at Westminster Abbey's chapel can represent an idea, emotions, and a scene so well.
I see this as a between linedrawing and a painting..... this is it....nothing more...

Today I worked on training myself to understand the different thickness each numbered pen produces by drawing different animals in my new sketch book. It's definitely a learning process that will take time!
This old-time storefront was in the Museum of the Big Bend. Beautiful register and old wood stove... I used Photoshop CC to make this line drawing from my photograph.
