Benny and the Birds by Frank Ennis has these wonderful line drawings by Charlene Bisch covering the end papers. The story features a little boy named Benny, his cat and a rather strange assortment of birds. I've already posted a shot of the cover and a couple of pages because I just love the illustrations!

One of the two drawings I submitted to this year's Scottish Drawing Competition. In the exhibition at the Paisley Art Gallery and Museum, until the 26th November.

There are loads of blokes out there who go around supermarkets pushing the trolley like this. Although I did not have a camera, the subject of this picture knew that I was taking his photo. As soon as I got home, I sketched this guy and his family into my notebook. George Grosz has a lot to answer for!

1976. My mom liked this drawing so much she had it made into greeting cards. Most of the drawing is a single continuous line, and then I added the black window portholes and the shading.

An Illustrator illustration that I did. part of a larger series of works that I ended up drawing onto canvases. It makes a pretty desktop pictures as well. Supposed to be like a contour line drawing, that was the sort of technique I used to create the image. I suppose I could get a bigger version of this up here... so you can use it as a desktop.

I've been drawing Zentangles since late 2022. This one was today's relaxation after work, my first day back in 2025.
