Looking south towards Santa Monica from Will Rogers Beach.

The rays coming through the clouds gave a blissful view and reminded me of Sun as a life source. Handled shot in a moving car at 1/4000s, f2.8 , ISO 200, 13mm with B+W Polarizer and ND Grad filters processed in LR Mobile.

Taken in the Muir Woods, San Francisco. I can only imagine huge swathes of redwoods growing across the USA, it must have been magnificent.

Shame it was due to wildfire smoke, but some sunbeams in the gardens is still pretty.

I was lucky enough last week to meet up with Flickrites Teri and Arina on a little sunflower gold tour. Having just missed some sunflowers the week before and the year before, I decided I'd get a little help before trying again. So when I got invited, I jumped at the chance...

Fortunately Mother Nature chimed in with calm winds and some really pretty rays of light. Even with the beautiful conditions, I blended two exposures in ps to get this final composition. This image was taken near Denver International Airport in Colorado.

Thanks Teri & Arina for inviting me to come along and to many more for providing the inspiration!

The clouds were looking good and I knew I had to get out to the coast. This is a shot I got on an evening out at Bonny Doon beach near Davenport. It was extremely windy and I could only get in one or two shots before the sea spray saturated my filter and lens. Although it was very frustrating I hung in there and managed to get a few good ones. Thanks for stopping by!

Sun rays peek out of the clouds behind Ha Long city and Bai Chay bridge.

The Les Orgues of Ille Sur Tet are strange sandstone pillars. Here seen in the early morning looking East.

This is the big cell that went over the McKinney area.

The Pinnacles, NZ. Trekked through this rugged mountain range through the coromandel forest park, 2490ft to the summit of the pinnacles. For those lord of the rings fans, the 'path of the dead' scenes from the return of the king was filmed in this region!

The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

A UNESCO world Heritage Site at Tamilnadu,India. For about 250 years, the Chola clan had ruled over a large part of South India. In those times, the Chola dynasty was at its apex and conquered many a parts of the northern territory. The wealth was brimming due to the outcome of their booming war operations. On one of the expeditions, Rajendra Chola, the great Chola who conquered a large area in South India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Sumatra, Kadaram (Kedah in Malaysia), Cambodia and others at the beginning of the 11th century A.D brought Ganga water in a golden pot and consecrated the reservoir 'Ponneri or Cholaganga'. Consequently, Rajendra was been titled as 'Gangaikondan' (the one who brought the Ganges). The king wanted to erect a 'larger than life' temple corresponding to the Brihadeeswara Temple at Tanjore.During 1020 - 29 AD, Gangaikondacholapuram had seen its construction.

We were very lucky to get to Antelope Canyon before Labour day, and actually get a spot on the photography tour. This is a must do for anyone going to Antelope Canyon and wanting to take pictures. Only on the phototours can you take tripods, and the guides actually keep people behind corners for shots.

Light disperses over the forest as it shines through the canopy.

My first little photo trip post lockdown. It was nice, I was very lucky with the weather.

(too many people around though!)

I really like the sun rays and the shape of the mountain.

looking almost straight up.. Canon 550D.

Taken in the forest near the Queens View Pitlochry. I really like the shadows of the trees, output sharpened using Nik Sharpener Pro, adjusted levels and curves in CS6. Taken hand held with my Fuji XE2 and Fuji 10-24.

Strobist 411:

ISO 400, f/10, 12mm, 1/100th, matrix metering, Auto WB, 1 bare speed light fired from the left via Calumet Triggers. I don't remember the power level of the flash but it was probably 1/2 or 3/4 power.

The magic of Antelope is the brief rays of light, filling different areas of the canyon with warm colors. As our expert Navajo guide led us through, timing our arrivals to the right spot, we were privileged to witness this splendor.
