A natural English woodland in Springtime with the spring lambs bleating on the fields above, this was such a lovely morning to be out, especially with the mist and sunlight.

My technique is alway the same:

Three exposures -2EV, 0, +2EV and then temperature adjustement using Lightroom and layering with luminosity mask using photoshop. Removal of distracting stuff with the stamp tool or patch tool. High pass filter to enhance details. Then saturation, contrast selectively control, dodge and burn where need...

DRI stand for Dynamic Range Increase. Three RAW files are used to achieve this. Rather than using a software like Photomatix for instance, I simply use mask to blend, my own way, the light, dark and normal shot with Photoshop and Lightroom.. To me, It looks more natural than the usual HDR treatment that I would normally applied.

Dodge and burn là où requis...

Since its so tight to have a wide angle shot of our cathedral, I thought of this shot using my telephoto taken from the park. From the common dome and belfry, this is for me expressing my reverence of our cathedral. Thank you for viewing.

Sunset light catches a downtown building at just the right angle.

Along the East Fork Quinault River Trail.

Lightrays stream over the roof top.

I was heading out late in the day on a very foggy day, when I saw the sun was trying to break through, and the shafts of light through the trees were calling to me. I went around the block and came back to take some pics with my little purse camera. I'll post a few more over the the next few days.

Abandoned. Detroit. Hole in the wall. Reflection.

These caves are located on Halong Bay. The insides of the cave are amazingly colourful. However, the most eye-catching feature was the penetration of the sun rays through two openings in the cave.

Spent some time this afternoon reprocessing this image which was taken taken some months ago whilst walking in Margam Park. I have added some lightrays after watching a Gavin HoeyPhotoshopYou Tube tutorial showing the technique. Hope you like it. shot from the speeding train window on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto ... the landscape, was not remarkable, and yet it was, as only the first glimpses into a foreign land can be

Wooden bridge at the Bull Wall

This image is continuing this short series taken on Killiney beach earlier this week on a dull and dreary day. However a ray of light did appear for a shortwhile.

A break in the clouds allowed for a shaft of light to brighten these aspens at dawn in Grand Teton National Park

Advertising poster for a Dutch yeast factory and distillery in Delft.

I think this just broke the record for the fastest shot I have ever composed. This was the mistiest waterfall I have seen since visiting Yosemite several years ago. It was absolutely roaring yesterday. I could feel the mist the second I got out of my car in the parking lot. By the time I got close enough to see it, I could barely keep my eyes open with all the blowing mist. So… I ducked behind a tree to take shelter. It was the only slightly dry spot around. I would peek out from behind the tree to try and pick out a spot that I thought would make a nice composition. Then I set all the camera settings the way I wanted them. Shut the autofocus off, so it wouldn't be focusing on some random particle of water. Opened up the tripod legs, then, ran out to my spot, plopped down the tripod, pulled off the lenscap, fired off a shot within about one millisecond. Then, ran back to take shelter behind my tree. I repeated this process several times until I ran out of dry things to wipe the lens with.

This is Grizzly Falls in Kings Canyon National Park.

I definitly like it sung by the Doors...

Kept driving through passing snow storms on the A49. So I decided to take a detour up Titterstone Clee since I had witness snow storms a few years ago up there. So glad I did since I saw snow storms coming from every direction, was full of energy (totally in my element).

The wind chill factor was very harsh so couldn't venture too far from my vehicle. I could hardly stand and my fingers and brain became so numb was hard to operate the camera but did manage to get a few none blurry shots.

This one was my fav since has I was taking this snow storm over Bromfield another snow storm was hitting me, totally cool.

Will catch up on flickr very soon been bust bee :-)

The sun is set; and in his latest beams

Yon little cloud of ashen gray and gold,

Slowly upon the amber air unrolled,

The falling mantle of the Prophet seems.

The scene which greeted me at an old truck yard along the highway from Edmonton to Saskatoon

Light over West Auckland.

Been well crook with the real (not man:-) flu for last 4 days, decided to get out of bed for one quick post then back to the sack.

Shot - Single RAW, used GND, tweaked \cropped in DPP, thats pretty much it

Late afternoon with a winter sun blasting through a heavy mist on Humbie Road near Eaglesham

Last rays of light before the sun hid behind the clouds at sunset.

Occasionally an "ordinary day" can be punctuated by magic. And then gratitude for the magic in a life which one knows is finite makes one re-consider the phrase, "ordinary day."

Sometimes, luck is not enough... you have to make your own magic... That's why I decide to create "fake" light rays for more impact...

Parfois, la chance ne suffit pas... On doit faire sa propre magie... C'est pourquoi j'ai décidé de créer des "faux" rayons de lumières pour plus d'impact...
