A sunset view of Kirkefjord and Reine, Nordland. In the summer the sunset view from here is breathtaking, especially if you wait long enough for the sunset rays to appear and hit between the mountains of the Fjord.

The Ozarks, also known as the Ozark Mountains or Ozark Plateau, is a physiographic region in the U.S. states of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and the extreme southeastern corner of Kansas. The Ozarks cover a significant portion of northern Arkansas and most of the southern half of Missouri, extending from Interstate 40 in Arkansas to Interstate 70 in central Missouri.
There are two mountain ranges within the Ozarks: the Boston Mountains of Arkansas and the St. Francois Mountains of Missouri. Buffalo Lookout, the highest point in the Ozarks, is located in the Boston Mountains. Geologically, the area is a broad dome with the exposed core in the ancient St. Francois Mountains. The Ozarks cover nearly 47,000 square miles (120,000 km2), making it the most extensive highland region between the Appalachians and Rockies. Together with the Ouachita Mountains, the area is known as the U.S. Interior Highlands.
The Salem Plateau, named after Salem, Missouri, makes up the largest geologic area of the Ozarks. The second largest is the Springfield Plateau, named after Springfield, Missouri, nicknamed the "Queen City of the Ozarks". On the northern Ozark border are the cities of St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri. Significant cities in Arkansas include Fayetteville and Bentonville. Branson is a tourist destination and popularizer of Ozark culture just north of the Arkansas–Missouri border.

I plan on sharing a short series of monochrome, cathedral images in the coming days. This is the morning light in the massive St. Peter's Basilica. Shot with my 21mm equivalent prime.
Bad photography, like bad art, is not the fault of the medium, but of the person using the medium.

This is the second pass at this scene created in Vue 3D.
Worked on softening the shadows, sorting out the ground fog from the last version and removing some of the odd colorations right under the clouds. Next up is populating the ground with some forest and rock patches.
This picture was the base for our family Christmas card this year. The finished product had other graphics and text added of course.
In the box was a 580EX on wireless trigger. In front was another 580EX shooting through a softbox.
A little frustrated whilst driving home tonight where I could see the sun doing amazing things through the clouds. At one point it was diffused perfectly, and left only a beautiful silver lining.. However, could I find anywhere to safely stop? Erm, no...
I settled for this shot in the end, where the sun had broke through a lot more, and couldn't find any really good foreground to shoot against either..
Had to crop (railway power line stuff out) this and the single -2EV RAW file worked out far better than any HDR concoctions on this one :-)

Beautiful light and the smoke of many pilgrim's early morning fire create some great atmosphere in the religious town of Lalibela, Ethiopia.

So I got a chance to go out and explore Hyderabad once again and this time my wife and I went to the Quli Qutub Shahi Tombs in the older part of Hyderabad.
I got this shot inside one of the tombs and it was quite difficult because of low light conditions. I got this one at a very high ISO and I had to work quite a bit to reduce the noise from this one but I think it still has some amount of noise.
I have recently got an invitation from Getty Images to become a contributor and sell my images there. I really have to understand the finer details of what this actually means, so if you guys have any experience being a Getty Images Contributor, do help me out here.
Thanks for your visit and for all your lovely comments. Will catchup with your streams today. Cheers!
