Light rays bathe the lighthouse and four people walking near it.
I captured this image from a mile away, then blended it with some filters available at picmonkey.com

Find beauty not only in the thing itself but in the pattern of the shadows, the light and dark which that thing provides -

I was hoping to spot the wild horses along the Salt River the other day. No luck but campers settling in for the weekend provided an opportunity to catch the lightrays in their smoke.
Light rays break through storm clouds over the green glacial waters of the Lustrafjord in Skjolden, Norway
Whilst editing this shot I thought the break in the clouds looked like a pair of eyes - but maybe just my crazy imagination - I will leave you to decide! HFF!

Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Washington
Sometimes it is hard to find light in a world that seems endlessly filled with the darkness of violence and war and hate. Sometimes hope feels obscured by the fog of worry and fear.
Always I am thankful for the rays of light when they manage to break through.
interior of the Cathedral in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia. The strong afternoon light sends in real bundles of light rays illuminating the rather dark interior.
We were out for a walk at the river "Tiroler Ache" near Schleching. The light and the haze in the mountains gave the whole scene a magic atmosphere. And she was on her way...

A shaft of light caught my eye as it broke thru the stormy clouds on a peak above Jackson Lake.
Thanks for taking a look.
Down at eye-level with this Killdeer as it fans out its tail in a display to draw attention to itself and away from its nest.
This is in the evening as the last rays of the sun highlight the bird. It is standing on a shallow outcropping of rock just above the surface of Lake Michigan. This area is often awash in water when the lake is rough and the waves are large. So for the bird's sake, I hope it doesn't have a nest in such a vulnerable area :(

Sky Tower, Auckland.
Hi, I am back!
This was a truly captivating experience to see the sunset from the main observation level(186m) in the Sky Tower, a spectacular 360 degree to see the wonders of Auckland.
Captured this before a window, and no photoshop.
A misty October morning in The Lady’s Walk, Montacute, Somerset, rays of sunlight pierce through the branches of the beech trees, giving a magical atmosphere.
Thick clouds filtering the sunlight rays, spot lighting the manicured landscape, complete with swirling leaves, Unreal beauty

The last rays of sunlight stream through narrow canyon walls, lighting up an autumn meadow in golden warmth, before the cold night comes.

On our recent visit the Lake District we were lucky enough to stay near Penrith in The Eden Valley. The Pennines looked like this on the first morning we were there.
Aunque hay modos de simular los rayos mediante edición, siempre es preferible fotografiarlos en la realidad, solo que es bastante difícil verlos.
Muchas gracias por la visita.

Graffiti or vandalism? Most were handwritten names, people who I image just want to leave a silent mark. But, more than that, there was naughty words and drawings that I had to painstakingly remove so this image could be rated PG. It saddens me really that when given a "canvas" people chose to express themselves with vulgarity.
Its always nice when you come across a fellow Flickr member when out shooting ... even if it is windy and raining :))
Have had this one kicking around on the hard drive all winter. Not perfect by any means but i quite liked the rays cutting the morning fog. Danes Dyke, Yorkshire, UK.

I haven't been able to get out to do any photography for several days so I decided to rework a previous photo to be more artful.
I will let you decide which you like best!
